Holidays 4 june
The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression has been celebrated on June 4 since 1983. In August 1982, the UN General Assembly decided to celebrate this day in memory of Palestinian and Lebanese children killed by Israeli bombing. The purpose of this holiday is to draw the attention of the world community to the suffering of children subjected to physical and moral violence during military conflicts. According to resolution ES-7/8, the UN is committed to protecting their rights. On June 4, 1982, the Lebanese capital Beirut came under Israeli air attack. The reason for the attack was an unsuccessful attempt by Palestinian terrorists on the Israeli ambassador in the British capital. The air raid, which lasted for an hour and a half, claimed the lives of 14 children and injured 8 children. The next day, more than ten Lebanese cities came under fire. Over the course of the bombing, more than 300 people died. There are several offenses against minors who find themselves in a war zone:• murder;• sexual violence;• kidnapping;• recruitment and involvement of children in hostilities;• attack on socially significant objects;• refusal of humanitarian assistance. Children are the most vulnerable part of society. Adults are obliged to protect them from participation in military conflicts, protect them from violence, and provide them with food, water and medicine. The Day of Innocent Children - Victims of Aggression was established so that the problem of protecting children during hostilities is resolved at the international level. Currently, there are about 250 million minors in the world who find themselves in war zones. The task of the world community is to help them, to promote the restoration of health and social adaptation. One of the first to raise the issue of the impact of armed conflicts on minors was the politician Graça Machel. According to her, children help adults because they are a unifying force that can instill ethical standards in people. Adults around the world need to rally around these norms. G. Machel's report is still considered the main study in the field of child protection, and it is on it that they rely on when organizing relevant activities. Traditionally, on June 4, educational work is carried out, forums and charity fundraisers are organized. Particular attention is paid to the delivery of humanitarian supplies not only to conflict zones, but also to refugee camps. Minor victims of aggression are provided with medical and psychological assistance.
June 4 in Russia is an occasion to congratulate people who have chosen a responsible and, moreover, well-paid job. They are not afraid of heights and can easily carry multi-ton loads from place to place. These people are crane operators. Their professional holiday still exists at an unofficial level, but with the help of an initiative group, work is underway to recognize Crane Operator Day at the state level. Everyone is accustomed to thinking that cranes are used only on construction sites. In fact, the need for them arises wherever the cargo cannot be handled without the use of cargo equipment. Previously, people of this profession did not have their own holiday, and therefore they celebrated it together with builders in August. In 2017, the Vershina company, which supplies cranes for the construction of facilities in the North-West region, decided that crane operators deserve their own special holiday and took the initiative to recognize June 4 as Crane Operator Day. The choice of date was due to the fact that it was on June 4, 2014, that the Ministry of Justice promulgated an order on professional standards for this profession. Crane operators really deserve special thanks and congratulations for their work, because their work is not as easy as everyone thinks. Their working day is spent at altitude in uncomfortable living conditions, and sometimes the weather can cause some inconvenience. Despite these difficulties, they must do their job correctly, because the safety of the cargo, and sometimes human lives, depends on every movement of the crane operator. Today, the profession of a crane operator is in demand, and you can get it by completing professional courses or a vocational school. However, to be able to work on a crane, you need to meet standards and have excellent mental and physical health. Thanks to the Internet and social networks, more and more people involved in this profession are learning about Crane Operator Day. It is possible that unofficial recognition of the holiday will force the authorities to make June 4 Crane Operator Day.
Humor, irony and satire help us come to terms with the small imperfections of life and fight blatant manifestations of injustice. In the Soviet Union, the Krokodil magazine exposed bribe-takers, bureaucrats, parasites and hacks, and criticized incompetent low- and middle-level managers. The first issue in the form of a supplement with illustrations to the Rabochiy newspaper was published on June 4, 1922. Materials on the topic of the day, anecdotes, criticism of dudes, a satirical assessment of the policies of the imperialist countries - this and much more could be found on the pages of the printed publication. At the peak of its popularity, its circulation reached 6.5 million copies. June 4 marks the birthday of the Krokodil magazine. Lapot also criticized the shortcomings that hindered the building of socialism and communism. But it was suspected of being a bourgeois satire serving the Nepmen, and was closed. In 1933, "The Cheerful and Poisonous Peasant Magazine" was published for the last time. "Crocodile" became the only all-Union printed publication with a satirical orientation. In the magazine, humorists honed their skills in feuilletons and pamphlets, and artists who drew caricatures and caricatures got their chops. One of the painters became the author of the symbol - a red crocodile with a pitchfork in its paws. The famous Soviet poet Demyan Bedny explained the concept of the magazine in poetic form: In the corridors of the editorial office one could meet famous writers: M. Zoshchenko, Y. Olesha, V. Mayakovsky, I. Ilf and E. Petrov, V. Kataev, representatives of the creative team "Kukryniksy". The printed publication, whose policy fully corresponded to the party line, was published 3 times a month. Issues of the magazine were published in 5 versions: main, Leningrad, Moscow, Ural-Siberian and Ukrainian. Special leaflets (“attacks”) dedicated to individual factories and factories were also published. "Crocodile" not only ridiculed the vices of Soviet citizens, criticizing rootless cosmopolitans, lazy people, swindlers and moonshiners, but also mercilessly castigated the imperialists, West German revanchism and NATO. The satirical publication was considered the most important official mouthpiece of the CPSU at all levels of social and political life. His regular columns with titles that speak for themselves were “Pitchforks to the Side!”, “At an Angle of 40 Degrees,” “Moral Deadlock,” “From the Hall to Here,” “In Our Workshop,” etc. In addition to the printed version, An animated film magazine "Kinokrokodil" was also produced, which is considered the predecessor of the famous "Wick". In September 1965 D.D. Shostakovich created a humorous cycle called “Five Romances based on words from the magazine “Crocodile”. The popularity of the printed edition explains the attempts to revive it in the early 2000s. However, the magazine could not be saved. In 2008, Krokodil finally ceased to exist. But the memory of the brightest example of highly artistic satire of the Soviet period in our country still lives in the hearts of readers. Therefore, those who cherish the memory of the best that happened in the USSR celebrate the birthday of the Krokodil magazine on June 4th.
It was on this day in 1992 that the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which became an independent state, were declared. Isolation from the USSR in 1991 provoked the need to create our own new, authentic symbols that emphasize sovereignty. The date was given official status in 2007 by decree of the first and so far only president N. Nazarbayev. The state symbols are the coat of arms, flag, anthem and constitution. The standards are stored in the presidential residence, called Akorda, a unique and beautiful place in the capital Astana. The flag of Kazakhstan is monochromatic, made in the same turquoise-blue color that was present on the previous version from the times of the USSR in the form of a stripe on a characteristic red background. In the central part of the rectangular panel there is a sun with the silhouette of a soaring golden eagle, and at the shaft, of the same golden yellow color, there is a national ornament. The authorship belongs to Shaken Niyazbekov, who interpreted these as symbols of freedom and independence. The eagle in the heraldic sense also menacingly hints at a serious rebuff to ideological opponents. The coat of arms uses a similar, more than laconic, color scheme, which is symbolic for the original Turkic people, whose ancestors are modern Kazakhs. And although the authors of the coat of arms were other people, this was the collective work of Zh. Malibekov and Sh. Ualikhanov, they also used elements reflecting the nomadic past and peaceful future of the Kazakh people. The perfect form (circle) is held in high esteem and respect by original nomads. Just like shanyrak - the top of the yurt, which is stylized in the central part of the coat of arms. What can better express the desire for peace, family well-being, and prosperity than the image of a home, and what is common to all residents of the country is beloved Kazakhstan. Two mystical horses on the sides, called tulpars, are symbols of the Turkic ethnic group, corresponding to Pegasus. Their significance is confirmed by the legendary find - they adorn the helmet of the Golden Man. This unique exhibit, which became a symbol of Kazakhstan, was found along with other valuables from the Issyk mound. The choice of anthem is not such a clear-cut story. Adopted back in Soviet times, the version continued to operate after the independence of the republic was declared. The sound of the anthem unexpectedly did not suit the president. He announced his decision on May 9, 2000. It was proposed to accept the poems of Nazarbayev himself, but they proved that there are problems with plagiarism and not everything is so transparent regarding this particular work. Only after almost 6 years the problem of choosing a suitable replacement was solved. The song “My Kazakhstan”, co-authored by Zh. Nazhimedenov and Sh. Kaldayakov, was written back in 1956. Adaptation by Nazarbayev himself to match the state symbol allowed him to become a co-author. The status is emphasized by a serious approach at the time of listening. Although the holiday is not an official day off, the government and government officials hold ceremonial events and festive concerts, because this day is another reason to glorify Kazakhstan. And in the anniversary year of 2017, more than 50 interesting events will take place, for example, a 25 thousand km marathon.
The ancient Slavic holiday Yarilo Mokry can also be found in other original names: Tribogov day, Troyan, Troyan tonsure, Holy Day. It is important that it is on this day that spring is put to rest, and the red, fertile summer comes into force. The Slavs believed that with the arrival of summer, Yarilo-Vesen, the eternally young God of the Sun, gives way to the generous Trisvetly Dazhdbog. With the onset of summer, the time came for yesterday's boys to become warriors. The rite of tonsure gave the name to the holiday of Troyan tonsure. The name Holy Day reflects the beliefs of the Slavs in the Glorious Victory of the warrior Trojan - the protector God in the battle with the age-old evil, which is represented in the image of the Black Serpent. At the center of veneration and glorification is a special divine tandem - Triglav Svarozhiy, which includes the hypostases of Svarog, Veles and Perun. The Slavs have always endowed these deities with great power and authority. It was believed that it was Perun, Svarog and Veles who controlled the fate of man in the Trimir region (Reveal, Prav and Navi). In the war against evil, the fierce and insidious Black Serpent, the power of the three supreme gods united in God Trojan or Svarozh Triglav to free all people from the excesses of evil and darkness. As a rule, Troyan experienced good clear weather. It was customary to walk around their lands before sunrise and wash themselves with healing dew. It was believed that on this day all water, and especially morning dew, is saturated with healing power and power against any illness. If you wash yourself with magic dew, you can get rid of various ailments, preserve youth and beauty, and if you sprinkle your home and gates with dew, then happiness and prosperity will certainly settle in the house. The Slavs knew that Yarilo Mokry appears into the world to fertilize the entire earth, then on Kupala, he turns into an old man and goes to heaven. However, he manages to accomplish his main task—the fertility of the land. Thanks to this divine providence, in the fall the peasant receives a decent harvest. In ancient times, on the day of Yaril the Mokroy, which falls on June 4, people gathered in places of power, at temples, to glorify Yaril, present him with generous gifts, appease him, and please him in every possible way with prayers. The idol was placed on a skillfully embroidered towel and generously sprinkled with grain, symbolizing hopes and prayers for the high fertility of the land. From a ritual jug it was watered with magical water with the addition of nine miraculous plants. All those present in the temple must bow to the ground to God. The ritual ended with drinking intoxicating beer - the symbolic drink of Yaril. It is worth noting that they drank a little, not for the sake of hops, but for the sake of health and light fun. Then the traditional festive dances began. The most famous dance is zheg. It is performed in a circle. The dancers grab each other by the shoulders, take two steps in the direction of movement, one step against the movement. At the same time, they raise their legs high, as if stepping over a high abdomen. These movements are also aimed at requests for a noble harvest. The ancient Slavs believed that on the day of Yaril the Mokroy, evil spirits and restless souls of those who did not die a natural death were activated. Much attention was paid to protecting the family, especially small children and young girls, from mermaids. For this purpose, special amulets and amulets were prepared in advance. The great mystery of the holiday is the revelation of Mother Raw Earth. It was with the onset of night that one could see a miracle when the Earth parted in order to lift the curtain into the world of its own secrets. Today this is just an adventurous legend, but in ancient times our ancestors sought to get into the very thicket of the forest on this magical night. According to their beliefs, at this fateful time, an amazing treasure could be found in the opened bowels of the earth. And more than one daredevil got lost in the thicket, chasing illusory wealth. The healers had to do a lot of work for Troyan. They had to collect just enough healing dew so that its reserves would last for the whole year. All work had to be completed before sunrise; it was believed that it was at this time that dew drops had a huge charge of energy and life-giving power.
People need thrills and vivid emotions, so they watch horror films that guarantee an adrenaline rush. Solving a mysterious crime together with a detective from a detective series makes the brain actively work and gives the viewer a feeling of involvement in the events taking place on the screen. You can lose an indescribable range of emotions in an instant after communicating with a well-wisher who has decided to briefly retell the plot of a book or film. A spoiler (from the English to spoil - “poison”, “spoil”) makes getting acquainted with a love and adventure novel less exciting, and deprives the intrigue of watching a thriller or drama. The creators of an unusual holiday - International Spoiler Day - demanded that future viewers and readers stop retelling the plots of films, theatrical productions and books. Thanks to the initiative of conscious Americans, whose names have not gone down in history, June 4 is celebrated annually as International Spoiler Day. For the first time, a request not to voice the contents of the play according to one of the versions was made in 1952 at the end of the premiere of the play “The Mousetrap,” based on Agatha Christie. The London theater troupe, which bowed to the public, asked not to tell friends and acquaintances about who the killer was. Hitchcock specifically forbade the cast and crew of Psycho from talking about the film. According to another version, the creators of the thriller “The She-Devil” first approached the audience in 1954 with a request not to deprive friends of the pleasure before watching the film and not to reveal the intrigue. The term "spoiler" was used by its founder, editor and author Douglas Kenney in an article in National Lampoon magazine. In the April 1971 issue, he briefly recounted all the plot twists in books and films from Anita Christie mysteries to the aforementioned Psycho. The journalist urged readers to save time and money on viewing paintings and reading works of art by doing something useful. Both the producers and directors of modern cinema and the audience completely disagree with Douglas Kenno’s point of view. They believe that a spoiler ruins the suspense and deprives a person of the pleasure they get from immersing themselves in the plot of a theater production, film or game. Therefore, at the initial stage of cooperation, actors and other members of the film crew sign an agreement on non-disclosure of project details. The negative attitude of many viewers towards revealing the plot of a film, series and reality show is called “spoiler phobia”. Retelling the content of a picture or game, of course, is not a crime, but it deprives people of an independent experience of intrigue along with the characters, which spoils the impression of works of art, which are theater and cinema. International Spoiler Day is called upon to draw attention to the inadmissibility of spoilers.

Basilisk is celebrated according to the folk calendar on June 4 (May 22, old style). On this day, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Saint Basilisk of Koman, a martyr who suffered for his firm faith in Christ. The story of the Basilisk began in the 3rd century in Cappadocia (modern Turkey). He was the brother of Saints Eutropius and Cleonicus. When persecution began against Christians, the brothers were crucified on the cross, and Basilisk was sent into captivity in Comana. He was tortured and forced to make an offering to idols, but then thunder was heard and lightning flashed and destroyed the pagan idols. In anger, the ruler ordered the Basilisk to be beheaded. People believed that there was a huge snake with a rooster's head, a toad's body and a snake's tail. The monster was called the Basilisk and it was said that it emerged from an egg laid on January 15th by a black 7-year-old rooster, hatched in a swamp by a toad and hatched just on June 4th. The snake attacked settlements, ate livestock, destroyed grain crops, and dried up wells and springs. To prevent the appearance of a destructive snake, residents on a given day collected all the chicken eggs and boiled them for a long time. Black roosters were also not favored; they were slaughtered before they were 7 years old. And if on the day of the Basilisk they met an egg on the road, they would bypass it or destroy it; they were forbidden to take it home, otherwise they could invite trouble. The peasants believed that it was not worth working in the fields and vegetable gardens on this day, since only weeds, wormwood and cornflowers could grow from the planted crops. Therefore, the residents switched to household chores, and in the evening they got together, talked, shared jokes and stories. Sometimes the day was called Nightingale. In the morning, people came to listen to the nightingale sing. It was also considered shameful to catch a nightingale, since they believed that its appearance in human habitation foreshadowed wealth and prosperity. Bird hunters went into the forest to catch nightingales. Caught birds on Nightingale Day were considered especially valuable. On this day, the girls went to the pond and told their fortunes. To do this, they wove wreaths from birch branches and put them on the water. If the wreath floated away and did not sink to the bottom, it means that happiness awaited the girl. Noticing abundant dew on the Basilisk, residents prepared for a good harvest in the fields and vegetable gardens. The thick fog promised a lot of mushrooms after the rain. The singing of a nightingale in the middle of the night was heard on fine days. If many spiders and flies were observed that day, the cucumber harvest was expected to be rich.
