According to the folk calendar - Kharitonov Day

On this day Orthodox Christians honor the memory of Bishop Chariton the Confessor. Kharitonov Day is considered one of the most dangerous days of the year, when they can easily cause damage or jinx it. To protect yourself from misfortunes, it is better not to go outside, but to do household chores. It is believed that on this day one should not sweep dirty linen from one’s house, since thrown out garbage can easily bring trouble into the house.
