Republic Day of Bashkortostan

This region is home to friendly and hardworking people, whose origins are associated with the Turkic tribes that settled Siberia and Central Asia more than a thousand years ago. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Supreme Council declared the independence of the republic. Based on the decision of this authority, on October 11, 1990, the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Bashkir SSR was adopted.
