Holidays 24 september
International Day of the Deaf is celebrated on the last Sunday of September. This holiday began in 1958 in honor of the founding of the World Federation of the Deaf, which was founded 7 years earlier in Rome. The idea of establishing the holiday was proposed by the United Nations. Around the world, the last week of September is celebrated as Deaf Week. These days, special attention is paid to people with complete or partial hearing loss. Their problems, which they face every day, are brought to public attention in order to make their lives as easy as possible. The week ends with the Day of the Deaf, on which concerts are held with the participation of artists with hearing problems. Various events are also held for people with this physical limitation. Often people, listening to various sounds, do not think about how wonderful it is to hear the voices of loved ones, music, birdsong. But there are many people around us who are deprived of this opportunity. Deafness is a fairly common problem. According to statistics, every ninth person on earth has hearing problems. Most of them live in low- or middle-income countries. Deafness can be complete or partial, as well as congenital and acquired. Complete deafness is most often accompanied by muteness. Congenital deafness develops during pregnancy. Factors that influence this disease can be either the illness of a pregnant woman or her taking medications, alcohol, or smoking. There are cases of hearing damage during childbirth. The development of acquired deafness can be influenced by the following reasons:• infectious diseases;• inflammatory processes;• diseases of the inner ear or auditory nerve;• the influence of chemicals, poisons;• exposure to loud sounds, vibrations;• blockage of a blood vessel, hemorrhage in the brain;• uncontrolled taking antibiotics. Partial deafness, or hearing loss as it is also called, allows a person, although it is difficult, to still hear and recognize sounds. Hearing loss can often be overcome and completely eliminated with the help of medication and expert advice. In ancient times, it was very difficult for completely deaf people to integrate into society. They were deprived of communication and a full life. Significant relief came with the development of a new method of communication - sign language. Its founder was the French abbot Charles Michel de L'Epée. He later founded an entire institute for the deaf in Paris. In gratitude, the graduates of this institution decided to celebrate every year the birthday of their benefactor, who gave them an invaluable opportunity to communicate. For the bicentenary of the birth of the Abbé de l'Épée, deaf-mutes from various countries came together, and the first international meeting of the deaf was organized. The first school for those with hearing problems in Russia was created in 1806 in Pavlovsk, and in 1834 the same institution was opened in Moscow. Although deafness is a big problem, it does not become an obstacle to achieving goals. Among famous people there are many suffering from this disease. For example, the world-famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven, after complete loss of hearing, created many brilliant works. Those who had hearing problems were: the sculptor Claude Andre Desin, the artist Antonio Stegnoli, the writers Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Victor Hugo, and the famous French poet Pierre de Ronsard. Former American President Bill Clinton also suffers from hearing loss; in order to hear well, he uses a hearing aid.
The holiday of Mechanical Engineer Day arose back in the days of the Soviet Union, and for Ukraine it was established by the Decree of President L. Kravchuk in 1993. The purpose of Mechanical Engineer Day is to support workers in the mechanical engineering and instrument-making industries. Since then, the holiday has been celebrated every year on the last Sunday of September. For citizens of Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan, the Decree was issued on October 1, 1980 by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Mechanical engineering has existed for more than two hundred years. The development of the country and the standard of living of its citizens directly depends on the engineering industry, because it is one of the leading ones in the economy. In terms of the cost of products and the number of employed people, it is an undoubted leader. Main directions: - transport (automotive, shipbuilding, aircraft, railway industry, rocketry); - machine tool building, metallurgy, energy; - mechanical engineering for the chemical and petrochemical industries. Millions of people are employed in the engineering industry - these are intellectual workers, engineers and designers, managers and people working in auxiliary branches. Mechanical engineering is a real catalyst for scientific and technological progress. The goal is to make work less difficult and at the same time more efficient, to increase productivity by providing absolutely all industries with funds of the appropriate technical level. It is on Machine Builder’s Day that the government congratulates the country’s main workers and awards them honorary titles: “Honored Machine Builder”, “Honored Worker of Industry”. In addition, open days are organized during the holiday, when everyone can visit the enterprise and get acquainted with the specifics of the industry. Celebrations, concerts, and festive events are held in all cities, but they are especially noisy in machine-building cities. Every day people use mechanical engineering products - cars accompany them always and everywhere. Personal transport, agricultural, public. However, in addition to the automotive industry, this includes both washing machines and nuclear reactors with submarines. The structure of transport engineering combines the production of cars and diesel locomotives, trucks and cars, trolleybuses, minibuses, aircraft and sea vessels. There has always been enormous demand for equipment and machinery from domestic manufacturers, both from domestic and foreign enterprises. In addition to the manufacture of traditional products, new technology and equipment are constantly being introduced for the domestic market. For example, diesel trains, drilling rigs, road equipment, freight cars. Some of the products are exported to the CIS countries, India, and Mexico. In terms of industry development, countries differ greatly from each other. The lion's share of production is produced by countries with a high level of development. Leaders - America, Japan, Germany, France, Russia, China. The specialization is quite extensive, as they say - “from a needle to an airplane.” Other countries, less developed and advanced, may specialize in the production of one type of product, which they present on the world market. But despite this, they are far behind in terms of the overall coefficient. To produce high-quality products and be a leader in the global market, a sufficient number of qualified specialists and labor resources are needed. Without such personnel, the productive work of numerous research institutes and design bureaus is simply impossible.
September is rich in original holidays. So the caravan workers were not left unattended; on September 24 they celebrate their professional holiday. This applies not only to camel drivers, but also to the crews of merchant ships, escort ships, and truck drivers. The holiday originated in 1995 thanks to the international organization ICHCA, which deals with the safety and development of transport and cargo transportation. A little more than 20 years have passed, but still no one can say for sure who the caravaners owe the date to: William Adams, the first European to reach the shores of Japan, or the Prophet Muhammad, who completed the journey from Mecca to Medina on September 24, 622. Since ancient times, there has been a need to exchange goods. At first, people supplied each other with goods atypical for their area: salt, gold, medicinal herbs. Later they began to exchange more familiar things: fabric, livestock, furs. As time passed, progressive traders began selling. Bazaars and trade routes appeared. And so, along the Great Silk Road, stretching through Europe to China, the first caravan set off. When it came to long transitions, trade lines of unprecedented length emerged. Not only merchants, but also scientists, craftsmen, and doctors took part in the campaigns. In 921, Ahmed ibn Fadlan set off from Baghdad to Volga Bulgaria on a diplomatic mission. Throughout the entire route, he kept travel notes, which became the first report on the passage along the Ural road. In his notes, the traveler indicated that their caravan consisted of 5 thousand people and more than 3 thousand horses and camels. Fadlan's notes were discovered by orientalists in the tomb of Imam Ali ibn Riza during an archaeological expedition in Iran. The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan is an event that both adults and children look forward to! Bright, New Year's-style trucks with Santa Claus on board drive impressively along the main streets of Russian cities. This is Coca-Cola's most famous social project. Setting off in early December, the caravan visits 65 cities, travels several thousand kilometers of roads and brings a holiday to seriously ill children and adolescents. There are things that remain unchanged for centuries. The dog barks, the wind blows, the caravan moves on.
“If you’ve done the job, walk boldly,” says the famous Russian proverb. “Action is the main key to success,” said Pablo Picasso. However, according to statistics, 85% of people give up halfway and don’t finish it. Unrealized plans and unfinished projects hang like the sword of Damocles over a person who started but did not complete their implementation.
The oldest date of the Slavs - Oseniny was celebrated on September 24. Like other ancient Slavic holidays, the day was associated with the cult of nature and the agricultural calendar. For the farmer, who lives by the fruits of his labor, the beginning of each season in the annual cycle was an important date. The days of the summer and winter solstices, as well as the days of the spring and autumn equinoxes, were especially revered. Since Neolithic times, these periods have been identified, associated with the length of the solar day. The autumnal equinox fell just in the last ten days of September, after which the daylight hours became noticeably shorter, giving way to dark, cold nights. According to the beliefs of the Slavs, the Sun of the current year grew decrepit and slowly died in the fall. Until recently it was in full force, generously bestowing its heat on the earth and crops, and now its end is near, which will come in December. But in the pitch darkness of long winter nights, the birth of a young sun will occur, which will gain strength by next spring and show all its power in the summer. It was in this sacrificial cycle of birth and dying that the universal order was felt. Everything went on as usual, and each person realized and accepted the harmony surrounding him. In each village, the old luminary was seen off with a symbolic renewal of bonfires. The old fire was extinguished, and a new one was produced by striking flint or rubbing dry branches, which emphasizes the ancient roots of the autumn celebration. This is how people communicated with nature, recognizing its wisdom and greatness. In addition to solar symbolism, autumns carried within them the worship of mother earth and her fertile beginning. By this time, the peasants had completed the harvest, their granaries were full and ready for winter. This means that the frosts were not terrible; on the contrary, they could be survived in satiety and fun. It is not for nothing that Belarusians have retained the old name of the autumn holiday - Zasidki. Now both old and young will spend more time in the huts, because field and garden work is coming to an end. But the time had come for handicrafts and craftsmanship; household work by firelight was allowed. For the holiday, it was customary to prepare special dishes from the fruits of the new harvest. They baked bread and pies from freshly ground flour, brewed beer, and feasted on honeyed berries and fruits. Families or whole villages gathered at large tables, remembered and praised their ancestors, discussed the affairs of the clan, and simply enjoyed life. Hence the names - “Bagach”, “Bagatukha”, “Harvest Festival”. With the adoption of Christianity, Slavic pagan holidays gradually acquire new meanings associated with the official religion. The autumn cult of Mother Earth was reborn into the veneration of the Mother of God, which was reflected in the renaming of the date “Women’s Nativity”, “Virgin Day”, “Little Most Pure One”. In ritual songs and poems, Mother Osenina was glorified along with the Most Pure Virgin Mary. Early in the morning, the female part of the villages went out to the river or lake with a ritual treat, singing songs and prayers. According to widespread custom, relatives visited the newlyweds. After a plentiful meal, the guests inspected the well-established life and household. The young people were given advice and kind words. The meeting of the Osenins was celebrated among peasants until the beginning of the 20th century, then the important ancient date was erased from the memory of descendants for a long time. And only nowadays, with the revival of interest in Slavic origins, the holiday is collected from scraps of memories, reconstructed and breathed new life into it.
Every year on September 24, Russia and other countries around the world celebrate an amazing, funny holiday - the Day of Unplanned Madness. It is supported by teenagers, young people, some middle-aged, older and even elderly people. This is the day when you can allow yourself to throw away standards and order by doing something crazy, regardless of age and social status. Modern people live according to established rules and procedures that do not contradict generally accepted norms and laws, and common sense. They control their lives everywhere and look with approval or condemnation at the antics or actions of individual members of society. Because of this, their everyday life is accompanied by dullness, monotony, and a lack of positive emotions. Often a person forgets that he is not a robot, and that he has only one life, from which he needs to receive pleasure, joy, pleasure. Not every person can risk their image and change the everyday, familiar rhythm of life to spontaneous, joy-bringing actions. However, you can allow yourself little pranks and quirks at least once a year. Unknown public activists established a day of unplanned madness on September 24th. It is celebrated annually all over the world, including Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union. It has not yet been established who became the founder of the celebration, and in which country it happened for the first time. It is believed that the creators of the holiday of unplanned reckless manifestations simply wanted to have fun. When the situation went beyond the bounds of decency and received wide publicity with ridicule, discussion and the threat of losing their military rank, they announced that it was such a holiday - a day of recklessness. This is how they justified their behavior and captured the beginning of an unusual holiday. Since then, adherents of this funny holiday have been trying to do what they did not dare to do in everyday life. The day of unplanned madness allows you to do any stupidity, pranks, smart, courageous deeds and actions. Basically, recklessness depends on the age and desires of the person. For example, an unsightly boy in class can approach a pretty girl and offer her his friendship. And a shy girl can tell a handsome man about her love. A young man can call an unavailable girl or send her an SMS. In the old days, gentlemen committed various kinds of madness for the sake of women: they sang serenades under the balcony, climbed through windows, challenged an opponent to a duel, and stole girls from home. Some crazy actions are suitable for our days. Let's offer a few ideas for the Day of Unplanned Madness: • Extreme activities that will increase adrenaline and cause thrills. This could be parachuting, hang gliding, helicopter flying, bungee jumping, swimming with dolphins, rodeo with bulls, riding an ATV. Although madness is considered unplanned, you need to choose a good instructor and a professional company. • A radical change of image with a change in hairstyle, hair color, clothes, makeup. • If there is no harm to your main activity, try staying awake for a day without sleep. • Buying a desired item or thing. • A spontaneous trip to a place you’ve been wanting to go to for a long time. A day of unplanned madness will justify any ill-considered actions. The main thing is that such acts do not cause harm to health and do not lead to damage to others. There are versions of some psychologists that occasionally committing madness is good for mental health. At the same time, a person is freed from the shackles of everyday life and often begins to look at life in a new way.
