Holidays 9 september
The special holiday of September 9, International Beauty Day, owes its appearance to the Committee of Aesthetics and Cosmetology (CIDESCO). It began its activities in June 1946 in Europe under the leadership of D. Dumont and J. Porson, and the first congress was held in Brussels. The scale and influence of this organization has been confirmed by time and the invaluable contribution of specialists who began cooperation. The 1995 Congress gave birth to the holiday, and 4 years later, Russia, by joining the International Committee and becoming its full member, marked the beginning of official recognition on its territory. Cosmetology is a field of medicine, and the committee aimed to unite knowledge and ideas in this field. The great impact on society, as the founders predicted, has been confirmed. Today, beauty industry insiders promise strong growth in the consumption of goods and services in this segment throughout the world. World Beauty Day is truly a professional holiday for everyone whose field of activity is related to it. They carry out an honorable mission to make people, by the way, not only women, more attractive: manufacturers and sellers of cosmetics, hairdressers and makeup artists, cosmetologists and plastic surgeons. The latter will definitely not be left without work, because the demand for their help has increased more than ever. And although it is believed that beauty comes from within, some effort must be made to maintain it, and the latest scientific developments will contribute to this. Beauty occupies an important place in human life, and this was appreciated by ancient Greek philosophers. Russian classics F. Dostoevsky, A. Pushkin and others also gave their assessment of human beauty and its influence on the world around us. A. Chekhov’s quote about how beautifully and harmoniously a personality should be structured is very indicative. Beauty contests try to demonstrate the connection between the external and internal world. The goddess Aphrodite is considered the very first winner of such a competition, and documentary evidence dates back to the 5th century BC. e. A more modern version of the competition appeared in 1888, and the most famous was and remains “Miss World”. Various events are dedicated to September 9, with the goal of choosing the best of the best. An alternative can be considered festivals and events in which those who do not conform to standard ideas participate, because International Beauty Day is also an indicator of a tolerant attitude. Glossy publications, the Internet, and video blogs in particular, play an important role in popularizing the holiday. At least once in her life, every girl fell under the influence of stereotypical ideas about beauty. Educational exhibitions organized for the holiday will introduce those interested in how ideals changed in different eras and whether it is worth blindly following fashion trends. On this day, the beauty industry opens its doors to everyone. Trying to advertise themselves, many salons, spas and fitness centers organize free or good discounted promotions and sessions. Celebrating a holiday at a beauty spot, pampering yourself with new perfumes or cosmetics is a great way to spend the day. This is a holiday for everyone, regardless of whether you follow traditions or welcome innovation, prefer bright individuality or naturalness. For everyone, “beauty” has its own meaning, but certainly a strong one and not necessarily with sacrifices.
On September 9, Russia celebrates Tester Day. The holiday is not official, but, nevertheless, it has gained love, and therefore is celebrated annually by specialists of this profession in Russia. It was on September 9, 1947 that scientists at Harvard University, testing a computer, discovered a small butterfly between the contacts of an electromechanical relay, which got there by accident. They described the current situation in their report. They called the work done debugging (getting rid of an insect). Today, this word refers to the process of eliminating bugs - the causes of computer malfunctions. Then the butterfly was pasted into the technical diary, and next to it there was an inscription “the first bug discovered.” Thanks to this incident, errors in computer operation began to be called bugs. Tester (tester) is a worker who conducts testing, the purpose of which is to control the quality of the software. Not so long ago, such functionality was perceived as a part-time job for students or a temporary place for programmers who could not find a job anywhere. However, over time, it became clear that specialists in this profession are irreplaceable, because the quality of software is a very important component of the successful functioning of any enterprise. Nowadays, a tester is a sought-after and prestigious profession. How can you become a tester? This specialty cannot be obtained at any Russian university. People who want to work in this profession need to get an education related to programming. A highly qualified tester must have sufficient knowledge and skills in programming. Otherwise, he will not be able to properly control the quality of the software. A tester must be able to think like an ordinary user of a software product, but at the same time he must think like the creator of this product and analyze the operation of the system as a whole. On this day, it is customary to congratulate specialists whose functional responsibilities are related to software testing. On September 9, Russian organizations celebrate the merits of testers. Management tries to coincide with this day with increases in their salaries, bonuses and other incentives. Small corporate events are held in offices or restaurants. In addition, the holiday is celebrated by small groups of colleagues, friends, and classmates.
Moscow City Day
Every day, in different parts of the world, people find themselves in situations where they urgently need first aid. But it happens that the life of the victim directly depends on the actions of not only medical workers, but also those people who were the first to arrive at the scene of the incident. These could be police officers, rescuers, or just passers-by. In gratitude to people who know how to overcome fear in time, before the arrival of doctors, and in extremely difficult conditions, without special equipment, to provide first emergency aid, a holiday was initiated - First Medical Aid Day. According to this authoritative international institution, every year 10% of the total number of people die as a result of emergency situations (accidents, falls, fires), and 15% become disabled. People who are able to save the lives of others in extreme situations are honored every year. This traditionally takes place on the first Saturday in September. Researchers give Jerusalem the laurels of primacy in organizing first aid. This happened, according to sources, in 1080. The Russian Empire adopted the experience 17 years later. First it was organized in Warsaw, and then it appeared in other cities. But the holiday itself arose only in 2000 thanks to the initiative of members of the international humanitarian movement - the Red Cross and Red Crescent. On this day, various educational events are traditionally held: thematic conferences, training seminars, open lessons and lectures, first aid competitions, etc. It is known that first aid is especially effective during the first hour after injury. Doctors call this time “golden”. But how can you help if you don’t have the necessary skills? First of all, call an ambulance. Your actions before the arrival of medical specialists: - make sure that the injured person is in a stable position and does not make sudden movements; - examine the injuries; - find out if the person is allergic to medications; - find out the presence of chronic diseases: diabetes, heart attack and etc.; - find out the patient’s name, contacts of his relatives or close people. Remember: a person’s life may depend on your actions!
Celebrations in honor of one of the main dishes, always present on the peasant table, took place during the harvest. The custom of honoring onions, which are famous for their nutritional and medicinal properties, has pre-Christian roots. Ancient beliefs and rituals organically fit into the traditions of Orthodoxy and became part of modernity.
The behavior of some people is strange, and their actions are absurd, which causes surprise among others. “What a trifle, really, there are eccentrics living in the world, But don’t forget that they are literally a miracle!” - these are the words of one of her early songs by A. Pugacheva. Eccentric people whose behavior does not correspond to existing patterns invariably attract the attention of society. September 9th is the Day of the Beautiful Oddball. A funny holiday, Wonderful Weirdos Day, was established in honor of artistic and creative people who think outside the box and live contrary to established traditions. This view of the world is also characteristic of young people and representatives of subcultures who decide to break existing stereotypes of behavior or appearance. People start acting weird at any age. Often cute and funny oddities appear in the behavior of older people. But since they do not worsen the quality of life, loved ones treat such age-related changes with understanding. Eccentrics who do not begin to oppose themselves to society and behave aggressively usually arouse sympathy and curiosity among others. Their unusual habits and original behavior bring bright colors to the routine of everyday life: This is how originals and extravagant people appear in the pop song performed by I. Ponarovskaya. Children's books ("An Eccentric Walked Along", "The Kid and Carlson Who Lives on the Roof", "Eccentric from the Sixth "B"), cartoons and films are dedicated to extraordinary personalities. In adult literature there are also eccentrics, for example, Baron Munchausen, Don Quixote, Prince Myshkin. The strange behavior of these characters is not always a form of self-expression, it often acts as a way of moral improvement of those around them. Their images are an example of the complexity of human nature, and eccentricity is a consequence of an extraordinary way of thinking and a peculiar logic of actions. Nero took a bath with eels floating in the water. Their electrical discharges helped the emperor in treating rheumatism. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill always changed the sheets he slept on during the night. Charles Dickens took a sip of water every 50 lines of a novel or story, and Honore de Balzac began writing a literary work only after 5 cups of coffee. These and other oddities of famous personalities are considered their highlights. Such behavior patterns were not condemned, because did not cause inconvenience to others. Wonderful Weirdos Day was established in honor of people who make our world a kinder and better place. Beautiful eccentrics are distinguished by their good nature and gentle behavior, showing sympathy and love for all living things. Some people buy flowers and give bouquets to strangers on the street, some always add numbers from a bus ticket number, and some start laughing out of excitement during sex. These behavioral features are met with understanding and most often cause a smile. Eccentricity in its pure form is a harmless phenomenon that helps a person express his “I” and attitude towards the world around him. There are many extraordinary, somewhat ridiculous and funny people living among us. All originals and unusual personalities are congratulated on September 9th on the Day of Beautiful Eccentrics.
There are holidays that are completely young by historical standards. Mention of them 50 years ago could only cause bewilderment. Such dates include Graphic Designer Day. In Russia, this innovation is celebrated on September 9, starting in 2005. And the very definition of the specialty appeared only in 1964 at the first international congress on graphic design. The basis for choosing the Russian date was the anniversary of the leading graphic designer Vladimir Borisovich Chaika. The master of design began his creativity at the Applied Graphics Workshop of the Moscow Art Foundation. Chaika gained wide fame through his collaboration with the elite magazine Advertising during the Soviet Union. An astonishing fact of the growth in demand for the magazine during the period of its design by Vladimir Borisovich was recorded; the publication had to be increased from 20 to 80 thousand copies. The 1988 magazine cover received international recognition at the Graphic Design Biennale in the Czech city of Brno and was awarded a Silver Medal. This event became an impetus for young talents, first throughout the USSR, and then in the post-Soviet space. Further participation in European and Russian festivals only confirmed the extraordinary talent and high professionalism of the master. The profession of a graphic designer involves the production of printed products, including labels, industrial packaging and trademarks. As well as the development of advertising banners and banners, information boards, and banners. A huge part of graphic activity is related to the media, film and television industries. Today, representatives of design graphics are increasingly being introduced into the world of digital technologies, because it is in this area that visual messages are most in demand as a means of mass communication. But in addition to the informational component, the work must also contain a semantic load, high aesthetics, and a creative and ideological touch. Professionals combine photography with fine art and the capabilities of graphic digital editors. It is obvious that this activity is in a phase of rapid development; graphic specialists are in demand more than ever. I'm glad that they have a day on which all leading achievements will be mentioned and appreciated.
The holiday is dedicated to the eradication of patterns of behavior that prevent a person from realizing himself as an individual. Changing yourself and starting to live in a new way is much more difficult than continuing to follow the well-worn road. Old habits will tempt you at every turn, causing doubts about your choices and leading to confusion of spirit.
On September 9, Russia celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Russian soldiers who fell during the defense of Sevastopol and in the Crimean War of 1853-1856. The greatest importance is attached to this holiday on the peninsula itself, where mass events are held. It was the Russian community of Crimea that initiated the addition of an official holiday to the calendar in 1995, exactly 140 years after the end of the Crimean War. The history of Russia remembers many dates that changed its course and influenced the further development of the entire country. It contains references to these special events, which even today determine the national identity of Russians and instill in them pride in the courage and dedication of their ancestors. Some milestones of history are covered with the dust of time and fade after a few centuries. So that the memory of them does not sink into oblivion, official holidays are added, which become a living reminder to contemporaries of the affairs of bygone days. It is to them that September 9 can be attributed. In the Crimean War, the Russian Empire fought against an alliance of the Ottoman Empire, France, Sardinia and Great Britain. By that time, our power wanted to gain a foothold on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus and the Balkans. In the future, the Russian Empire could gain exclusive control over the entrance to the Black Sea if it reached the Dardanelles and Bosphorus straits. In fact, the state had every chance of appropriating the sea, which would become its internal reservoir. Naturally, many Western countries could not allow such a development of events, so they joined forces and opposed the Russian Empire in the hope of reducing its ambitions and satisfying their own. Among the main strategic goals of the enemy coalition was absolute dominance in the Black Sea region, the Caucasus, Vladivostok and the Balkans. Although the war is called the Crimean, the fighting took place not only in the Black Sea, but also in the White, Azov, Baltic, Barents Seas and even in the Kuril Islands and Kamchatka. The conflict was given this name because it was in Crimea that it reached its climax. War was declared first by Turkey, and then by France and Great Britain due to the refusal of the Russian emperor to withdraw his troops from Wallachia and Moldavia. As the conflict developed, enemy troops managed to gain a foothold in the Black Sea region, and in the meantime, the Russian army won a number of significant victories in the Caucasus, inflicted serious damage on the Turks and recaptured the city of Kars. The opponents decided to take advantage of the situation and landed in Crimea. From this moment, a new page in the chronology of the military conflict opens and the heroic defense of Sevastopol begins, which, alas, ended in the complete defeat of our army. This city was the central base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The defense of Sevastopol lasted 349 days. Only after the death of the Russian emperor, the opponents managed to advance and capture the southern part of the city. The course of the war was largely influenced by the indecisiveness of the Russian command, which at times showed complete mediocrity and missed rare opportunities to take the initiative into their own hands and move from defense to offense. A little later, coalition troops tried to capture Nikolaev, where the Black Sea Fleet units evacuated from Sevastopol were located. The opponents were unable to pass through the Dnieper-Bug estuary, in which the Russians occupied mine and artillery defensive positions. During the operation, coalition troops captured the Kinburn fortress, which they gave up without a fight a few months later. In fact, these battles ended the entire conflict. Military operations ceased on all fronts. When the fighting fervor of the opponents died down, long preparations for peace negotiations began. Russia backed down at the prospect of Austria joining the coalition. In fact, our country was forced to conclude a peace treaty on unfavorable terms. From that moment on, the Black Sea became neutral territory. The Turks received the mouth of the Danube and southern Bessarabia. A number of geopolitical restrictions were imposed on Russia, which took our country out of the game on the Balkan and Black Sea maps for several decades.
On September 9, the most important national holiday is celebrated in Tajikistan - the day of state independence of the republic. It was established in 1998 and has been celebrated annually since then. On this day, mass events and parades are held throughout the country, and fireworks and fireworks are launched in the capital of the state. In the second half of the last century, a process of large-scale reform was launched in the USSR, which put an end to the entire state. Later they began to call it the period of democratization of society, but a different name took root among the people - perestroika. It took place in four stages. During this period, communist society acquired the features of a capitalist one, which ultimately led to the destabilization of the situation in all republics. Turmoil and collapse of the union economy began. The state was falling apart like a house of cards; dramatic changes led the once large country to the collapse into fifteen separate republics, among which was Tajikistan. A conflict began to brew in the Tajik capital. One of the first signs of the emerging crisis of power was the protest movements of national democrats that took place in Dushanbe in February 1990. Already in August, the highest body of the Tajik Republic adopted the Declaration of Sovereignty. The document gave local authorities the right to independently make political, cultural, social and economic decisions without regard to the leadership in Moscow. The declaration also allowed the republic to secede from the USSR at any time, but it retained this status for another year. It is worth paying tribute to the leadership of Tajikistan, which until the last moment did not want to cut off all ties and took a wait-and-see approach, but already on September 9, 1991, the Supreme Council declared independence. This day became a turning point for the country, which opened a new page in its history. Alas, the beginning turned out to be crumpled. The separation from the USSR provoked the beginning of a series of conflicts that led to civil war. Peace reigned in the state only in 1997.

The Ukrainian state is rich not only in natural resources. He also has the richest spiritual potential, which has surprised foreigners more than once. There are many real cinema stars in Ukraine. And a professional holiday was dedicated to these people, who make the art of cinema rich in emotions. Every year on the second Saturday of September, Ukraine celebrates Ukrainian Cinema Day. It was established back in 1996 on the orders of ex-President L. Kuchma. If you ask Ukrainians to name the most famous names of domestic cinema, you will immediately hear such outstanding names as Parajanov, Dovzhenko. On this day, congratulations are accepted by everyone involved in the art of cinema. We are talking about lighting engineers, decorators, sound engineers, artists, editors, directors, screenwriters, and many others. For the first time in September 1896 in the city of Kharkov, photographer Alfred Fedetsky shot several scenes. And in December, he organized a film show for the first time, which took place at the Kharkov Opera House. The film show was a success. From the very time the USSR was formed, cinema, like many areas of life, began to be controlled. Thus, in 1922, the All-Ukrainian Photo and Film Administration was created, thanks to which film studios in Odessa and Yalta were restored. And after six years, in Kyiv itself. In Ukraine in the pre-revolutionary period there were a lot of talented actors. At that time, everyone fell in love with the legendary actress V. Kholodnaya, whose acting was very talented. The famous Ukrainian film star often filmed in Odessa. At that time, cinema was silent, the young actress was given the name “queen of silent cinema.” In the 20th century, Ukraine created a personal film school, which was loved by the majority of residents of the USSR and even abroad. The names of legendary filmmakers are forever entrenched in world culture: Stupka, Bykov, Donskoy, Dovzhenko and many other great screenwriters, directors and actors. As for the most legendary films of the Soviet era that were shot in Ukraine, these are: “Chasing Two Hares”, “Dream”, “Ivanna”, “Thirst”, “Spring on Zarechnaya Street”. In the 60s and 70s such great films as “The Well for the Thirsty” and “The Stone Cross” appeared on the screens. It is worth mentioning separately about such a popular film, which is known today as “The Adventures of Captain Vrungel.” In the early days of independence, Ukrainian cinema experienced difficult times, and when the USSR collapsed, the film industry almost completely collapsed. However, since the 2000s they began, and quite successfully, to revive national cinema. The Ukrainian government is taking various measures aimed at developing cinematography. Special programs are in place and funding is increasing. Also, the Ukrainian government is creating all the conditions for the filming process to be as successful as possible. Current workers in the film industry are doing everything to ensure that Ukraine is famous not for military conflicts, but for outstanding achievements in cinema. The film industry is developing, many cameramen, directors, and actors have appeared. And they all celebrate this holiday with pleasure.

A number puzzle in the form of a square with a playing field of 81 cells was invented in the 18th century. Leonhard Euler. This Prussian, Swiss and Russian mathematician and mechanic was engaged not only in number theory and mathematical analysis. Euler studied algorithms for constructing "magic squares", in which the sum of the numbers in each column, row and diagonal is the same. Thus, thanks to scientific research, the game Sudoku appeared. The puzzle is based on a 9th order Latin square. It is believed that the birthplace of the classic game is Japan. The name of the puzzle comes from the abbreviation of the expression Sūji wa dokushin ni kagiru (translated from Japanese as “Numbers are limited to one location”). Today, more than 600 thousand Sudoku magazines are sold every year in the Land of the Rising Sun. The goal of the logic game is to fill a board of 81 squares with numbers from 1 to 9 so that in each column, row and small square the number occurs only once. According to another version, Sudoku owes its origin to the architect Howard Garnes from the USA. He drew a puzzle, which was used for entertainment and mental training, on a drawing board. The Indiana architect's Sudoku was first published in May 1979 in Dell Magazines. Initially, the puzzle was called Number Place, later receiving the name "Sudoku". A holiday has been established in honor of the game, which has surpassed the Rubik's Cube in popularity. Every year on September 9th International Sudoku Day is celebrated. Today the puzzle is available not only in printed form. There are applications for playing Sudoku on smartphones. A world championship is being held in her honor. Its winners in the individual competition three times were the American Thomas Snyder and the Pole Jan Mrozowski. The possibilities for playing and practicing number combinations are endless. Scientists from the USA Frazer Jarvis and Bertram Felgenheuer calculated the number of combinations of numbers for the magic square, as L. Euler called it, 9th order. Their number was 6,670,903,752,021,072,936,960 options. Puzzles are a popular leisure activity that trains the brain and mental acuity. Sudoku enhances concentration, therefore it is recommended for older people as a prevention of senile dementia - Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. In honor of International Sudoku Day, special collections of puzzles are published, and 9th order Latin squares are published in newspapers and magazines. Some Sudoku puzzles can be solved in 5 minutes, while others require several hours. Quickly filling out the entire number grid is available to fans of the game who are distinguished by perseverance, good memory and logical thinking.
The national holiday "Two Pimen" is celebrated annually on September 9. It is on this day that the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Pimen the Great and Pimen of Palestine. The celebration is also called "Pimen" or "Rowanberry". The second name is associated with the folk custom of collecting rowan and viburnum berries, which usually ripened in early September. Since the times of Rus', people have “glorified” the rowan - a beautiful tree that is a symbol of fertility and prosperity. Our ancestors used the branches and berries of the plant as a powerful amulet that helped them protect themselves from evil spirits. It is not for nothing that such trees were often planted near the gates of the house. Growing rowan trees could also be seen around places of “power” where the wise men performed ancient rituals. According to legend, it came from the sacred “tree of goodness,” which dried up with the arrival of evil forces in our world. Rowan fruits also represent true love. It is believed that the plant can ignite a real flame in the hearts of people. It is on September 9th that it is customary to begin harvesting the “rowan” harvest. This must be done extremely carefully, and only after the birds have feasted on the sweet berries. Kvass was made from the fruits, honey syrups were made, and fillings were prepared for pies. Branded wine made from red berries was especially valued in those days, and not only in Rus'. Young girls made themselves rowan beads - they strung the berries on a red thread. The decoration not only emphasized the beauty of a young face, but also acted as a powerful amulet against the evil eye. Dried berries helped treat infertility. For an unmarried girl, such beads promised a quick wedding. By the way, at the wedding, bright beads were also an integral part of the bride’s image. To ensure family happiness reigned in the house, its residents hung scarlet grapes under the roof. Rowan is considered a warlike tree that can stand up for itself, and even take revenge if attacked. If during the collection process people accidentally broke the branches of a plant, they had to explain the reason out loud and ask for forgiveness. As revenge, the tree could send a toothache to the offender. This is the explanation why people picked the berries so carefully. If the rowan berries have turned yellow, then you should wait for an early and frosty winter. The late color of the tree means only one thing - the heat will last for another three months. A modest harvest - a dry season, an abundance of berries - the winter will be cold and long. People born on September 9 will have to overcome enemy adversity throughout their lives. What not to do on September 9• Go on trips. A long journey can only bring trouble, so it is advisable to postpone the trip for a while; • Proposing, having a wedding. According to legend, September 9 is not the most successful date for concluding a new alliance, because it may turn out to be conflicting; • Boast about your achievements. Patrons of the holiday do not like boastful people, so on this day it is better to refrain from excessive boasting and pride; • Start new projects. Any undertaking will only bring disappointment, which can for some time discourage a person from doing what he loves.
In every state of the vast civilized world there are specialized services whose main purpose is to protect the citizens of a particular country. Often, in order to show the importance and value of these government departments, large-scale celebrations are organized for the entire society in the state in honor of these services that are extremely necessary in the modern world. It was this ministry that was born back in 1991. It became a full-fledged successor to such a formidable (in the recent past) body as the KGB of the Republic of Moldova. Just six years after the organization of the new structural unit, a professional holiday of the Ministry of National Security was established by decree of the head of state. In this way, a rather labor-intensive process was completed to reorganize the structure of the Ministry of National Security, which was extremely important and necessary for the country. Subsequently, a training center was created (already actively operating) on the basis of the ministry, where highly qualified specialists - officers - are recruited on an ongoing basis for operational work. The main specialization of the MNS is the prevention of social and interethnic conflicts in the state, as well as advance information about dangerous processes and situations in the country and their possible neutralization. The MNS regularly compiles reports for the country's ruling elite. For the most part, these are prognostic notes, with the help of which all necessary measures are taken in the very near future to avoid the occurrence of anti-state actions. It is on September 9 that all employees of the Ministry of National Security of the Republic of Moldova, without exception, accept congratulations and parting words. Festive events are organized throughout the state, at which some (especially distinguished) specialists are presented with certificates, awards and memorable gifts. Also on this significant day, concerts are organized with the participation of famous pop singers, which are also attended by members of the country’s ruling “elite”.
