Holidays 19 november
On November 19, more than 60 countries around the world celebrate International Men's Day. The holiday was celebrated for the first time in Trinidad and Tobago in 1999, and every year the number of countries that have joined, ready to honor the strong half of humanity, is only growing. Dr. Teeluksingh from the University of the West Indies put forward a proposal to create a special international men's day in order to draw attention to the problems of men and increase the role of social status in the family and society. He chose his father's birthday, November 19, as the intended date, since his father, in his opinion, was an example worthy of emulation. The UN and UNESCO came out in support of Thilucksingh's idea. Attempts to assign men a specific day of the year have arisen before, since the 1960s. American professor Thomas Oaster, who headed the Center for Men's Studies at one of the US universities, initiated a proposal, by analogy with March 8, to equate February 23 with the full day of all men, and not just defenders of the Fatherland. His idea was supported, and in 1994, February 23 was celebrated on a grand scale in the USA, Australia and Malta, but the following year attempts to continue the new tradition came to naught. Only Malta remained the only country where the holiday existed until 1999, and then it joined the common one on November 19. International Men's Day was created to draw attention to the problems of the health of the male population of the planet, social equality in families, emotional well-being and strong state of mind, ethnic and religious differences, etc. Unlike March 8, November 19 is almost always thematic in nature, annually specializing in a specific issue, however, this is a completely optional condition for celebration, it is just a suggestion. Each country is free to celebrate at its own discretion, choose its own theme or abandon it altogether. On this day, the organizers of the holiday hold various events. Street parades, concerts, feasts, seminars dedicated to the problems of men in society and family. The media are actively involved in attracting attention to this holiday. On November 19, warm words are heard for men, regardless of age, social status, professional and other skills, religion, skin color, etc. Educational institutions around the world hold special events dedicated to the stronger half of humanity. Clubs, seminars, classes, thematic exhibitions of drawings and crafts, creative essay and poem competitions. The role of men in society and family is one of the important topics for humanity. Therefore, representatives of the stronger sex receive well-deserved congratulations on November 19.
On November 19, one of the original holidays, World Toilet Day, is celebrated all over the world. This date was not invented for fun, but was officially approved by the UN in 2013 to attract everyone's attention to the problems of unsanitary conditions. In 1998, an international conference was held in Japan, at which the idea of the need to create a WTO (world toilet organization) was discussed extremely hotly. The statistics are disappointing. 40% of the planet's population does not have the opportunity to create toilets, as a result of which intestinal diseases are spreading in epidemiological progression, from which about 2,000 children die every day in the world. On November 19, 2001, at an international summit in Singapore, a city characterized by impeccably clean and sterile latrines, the WTO was created. More than 200 delegates from 17 countries discussed the problems of sanitary standards. Today, the WTO consists of 19 associations. Russia has been a member of the World Toilet Organization since 2001. In 2006, the World Toilet Summit was held in Moscow. World Toilet Day has been celebrated since 2002, at the initiative of WTO members. At the moment, the holiday is celebrated by a rather narrow circle of people, but every year this circle is expanding. On this day, various rallies and actions are held to draw attention to international sanitary problems. Various institutions hold competitions for the best toilets that are comfortable and comply with sanitary rules. This day is marked by competitions in cleaning and cleaning dry toilets. The Toilet Museum has been created in London, which tells in detail the history of the appearance of the sewerage system. In the museum's exhibitions you can also see the first common rollers, which were used instead of paper, simply wetted with water. And the first Roman public toilets, where the seats were arranged in a circle, and statesmen had conversations and made important decisions, without breaking away from the direct use of the first stone toilets. Media around the world are actively involved in the dissemination of information material raising public awareness of toilet problems in developing countries. At the conferences, issues of introducing the latest sanitary developments are discussed, and investors, public and private, are being sought to finance the necessary industry. November 19 is a day of general mobilization to resolve an important life issue. Improving the quality of sanitary standards throughout the planet will make it possible to avoid serious illnesses and increased child mortality.
On November 19, Russia celebrates Glazier Day. Since 2000, people involved in the production, processing or installation of glass products have celebrated a professional holiday. It is not yet considered a state one, but it has gained wide popularity among the people. On this day M.V. Lomonosov was born, whose name is associated with the launch of the chemical production of plain and multi-colored glass. Thanks to his developments, smalt for mosaic paintings and porcelain products on an industrial scale appeared. The scientist’s contribution to the Russian glass industry is enormous, which is why the date of his birth became Glazier’s Day in Russia. The first glass production enterprise in our country was launched in 1635. Since that time, production technologies have changed, improved, and developed. By the beginning of the First World War, the number of factories in the industry exceeded 200. The production of Russian crystal brought the country to the European market. The USSR became the world leader in the production of window glass. Glass production in Russia is considered one of the leading in terms of economic indicators. 70% of the market volume belongs to domestic producers. All large and small enterprises, state-owned factories and private factories take part in the celebration of Glass Industry Worker's Day. On this day, management congratulates employees on their professional holiday. The most worthy and hardworking are rewarded with gifts and bonuses. Concerts, entertainment events, and festive tables are organized for glaziers. In big cities, fairs take place on the streets. Here you can purchase glass products from skilled craftsmen. Dishes and souvenirs, jewelry and figurines, interior items and furniture turn the market square into a real museum. But in St. Petersburg, a real museum of glass exhibits opens on this day. On November 19, the Elaginoostrovsky Palace hosts an exhibition of glass masterpieces. The palace turns into a meeting place for the best masters. Manufacturers, scientists, artists, decorators, collectors, historians, and engineers come here. They exchange experiences, identify the advantages or disadvantages of various glass processing methods, and choose the best exhibit at the exhibition. The winner is awarded a valuable prize. In the modern world, glass is one of the materials that is difficult to do without. It has become a part of our lives, and its production technologies change flexibly with the times. Therefore, glass industry workers can be sure that November 19 will soon become a public holiday.
This memorable day allows us to honor soldiers, sergeants and officers of the “god of war” - artillery. Realities have made adjustments, and we are celebrating the day of the missile forces and artillery. But the “god of war” remains such. The holiday was born during the difficult period of the Great Patriotic War. Powerful artillery bombardment broke the German resistance at Stalingrad and allowed our troops to completely destroy the enemy. This happened on November 19, 1942, and already in 1944 Artillery Day was officially celebrated on this day. Artillerymen serve in one of the oldest branches of the military. Artillery was first used by Russian troops in the defense of Moscow from the Tatars in 1382. For a long time in our country, guns were used mainly to protect cities. Ivan the Terrible began to use artillery as an offensive weapon in all campaigns. Under him, artillery made a breakthrough in its development. Peter I, the great reformer of not only the country, but also the army, creates the first bombardment company. It was not an independent unit, but was part of the Preobrazhensky Regiment. During this period, the artillery banner was approved. The use of artillery at the right moment more than once changed the course of battles and engagements. During the Great Patriotic War, artillery was called the “god of war.” Just before the start of the war, serial production of the famous Katyushas began. In the summer of 1941, our “girls” showed the Germans the character of the Russian “god of war”. The effectiveness of the Katyushas was amazing; at that time there was not only no protection against rocket launchers, but the enemy could not respond with anything like that. In the post-war period, missile technology was developing and, as a result, units were formed that were armed with missile weapons. During this period, a change appeared in the name of the holiday - Day of Missile Forces and Artillery. Until recently, the holiday was celebrated on the third Sunday in November. Now the old historical date is again - November 19. As a branch of the ground forces, missile forces and artillery not only have separate units and formations, but also units that are part of other branches of the military. The units' armament consists of tactical and operational-tactical missiles and large-caliber artillery. The artillery itself includes many units that differ in the weapons they use: anti-tank, howitzer, mortar, artillery reconnaissance and others. It’s not for nothing that artillery is called the “god of war.” Not a single major operation takes place without the use of missile troops and artillery. The destruction of nuclear arsenals, concentrations of troops, air defense, control posts, this is not a complete list of the tasks facing this branch of the military. Units that are part of other branches of the military also solve smaller tasks: covering the crossing, clearing a bridgehead, supporting landing forces and many others. The gods of war stand guard every day, protecting our peace from any encroachments and threats.
Blacksmithing, one of the most ancient crafts, was patronized by the Slavic god Svarog and the ancient Greek Hephaestus. Craftsmen with iron processing skills were highly respected, and their work was in demand. Professional metal processing made it possible to create high-quality weapons and armor, household items and agricultural tools. Blacksmiths changed horseshoes, rethreaded wheels, and used hammers to make irons, axes, axes, plows, harrows, pokers, grips, knives and much more on anvils. Thanks to the work of craftsmen and their assistants, metal coins and jewelry appeared in everyday life. The male part of the family was often involved in the work of village forges. The craft was inherited from father to son along with a personal mark. The main equipment of the workshop were bellows and a blacksmith's forge, and the tools were an anvil, tongs, a hammer, bits and a chisel. At the forge there was a poker, a shovel for coal and a sprinkler - a mop made of sponge for wetting with water. Today, like hundreds of years ago, despite the automation of production, craftsmen handcraft twisted staircases, fireplace grates, canopies, gates and forged sculptures. A professional holiday has been established in honor of artisans. November 19 is the Day of the Hand-Forged Blacksmith. Metal processing was carried out by both generalists and specialist craftsmen. Thus, a blacksmith who made axes and axes was called an ax maker, only sickles and scythes were called a sickle maker, weapons were called a gun maker, fishing accessories were called an udnik, and jewelry was called a ring maker or a pin maker. Not everyone could become a craftsman. The blacksmith had to have physical strength, worldly experience, skills and a sharp mind. The words “cunning” and “machines” come from the word “forge.” There was a popular belief that blacksmiths had magical powers, and therefore invisibly protected the village from attacks by evil spirits. Craftsmanship skills were passed down from generation to generation, as were production tools along with personal marks. The forge was not placed next to the house, but separately from the place of residence. Usually 2 people worked in it - a master and his assistant. He took part in molding, perforating, embossing, trimming, shaping and other technological processes. The blacksmith's son, who received the mark from his father, had the right to add a “honey moth” to the design - a feature that showed that the seal belonged to him personally. Today, manual processing of iron is exotic, a tribute to historical traditions. However, folk crafts do not disappear thanks to craftsmen who create real masterpieces using ancient technologies. Blacksmiths manually make candelabra and knives, twisted grilles for fences and gates, decor for decorating building facades and other products. Working with fire and iron imparts calmness and prudence and requires the application of remarkable physical strength, professional skills and abilities. All metal artists who continue the craft traditions of their ancestors are congratulated on November 19 on the Day of the Hand-Forged Blacksmith.
K.D. made a huge contribution to the development of national pedagogy. Ushinsky, L.S. Vygotsky, A.S. Makarenko and V.A. Sukhomlinsky. Their works formed the basis of the Soviet and Russian system of education and spiritual and moral education of students in schools, colleges and universities. Without knowledge of the basics of psychology and pedagogy, it is impossible to instill in young people a thirst for knowledge, to raise a worthy succession of scientists and inventors who will work for the good of the Motherland. A holiday has been established in honor of the professionals on whom the development of national science depends. November 19 is celebrated as Higher School Teacher's Day in Russia. The holiday appeared on the calendar in 2021 on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The birthday of Academician Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was chosen as the date for events dedicated to increasing the prestige of a higher school teacher. Thanks to the activities of the natural scientist, historian, poet, geographer and artist, Moscow University was founded, which later began to bear his name. The holiday is intended to pay tribute to the contribution of M.V. Lomonosov in the development and teaching of fundamental sciences in higher education and to attract the attention of young people to the teaching profession. It is no coincidence that the celebration was established in 2021, declared by the President of the country as the Year of Science and Technology. Russia has been famous for its talented scientists throughout the centuries. These include D.I. Mendeleev, N.I. Pirogov, K.E. Tsiolkovsky, N.I. Vavilov, Nobel laureates L.D. Landau, P.L. Kapitsa and Zh.I. Alferov. These and other outstanding Russian scientists not only made amazing discoveries and changed the course of scientific thought, but also raised a galaxy of followers. The emergence of worthy and ambitious students was made possible thanks to the teaching talent of academicians and professors. The Year of Teachers and Mentors, which was declared 2023, was established to attract new personnel from among young people into the research environment. Higher School Teacher's Day is dedicated to the same goal. University teachers share their knowledge, results of scientific developments and research experience with students. The education and upbringing in young people of perseverance, inquisitiveness of mind and other useful qualities depends on their skill. Teachers are at the very forefront of dynamically developing modern science, so great expectations are placed on them. High school teachers are able to interest and develop curiosity among students, inspire undergraduates and graduate students and direct them to achieve ambitious goals. The professional holiday is celebrated every year by more than 250 thousand professors and teachers with other academic titles working in universities. On November 19, conferences and seminars, concerts and other special events are held, which are dedicated to the professional activities of people at the forefront of higher education in Russia.
On November 19, plumbers, specialists on whom the comfort of life of a modern person directly depends, celebrate their professional holiday. Since we moved into cozy apartments and houses “with all the amenities,” these “invisible front” workers are responsible for the maintenance of plumbing fixtures and the proper operation of water supply, heating and sewerage systems. The term “plumbing” itself appeared after the merger of the words “sanitary” and “equipment”. Today this name is most often used to refer to any devices that have anything to do with sewerage, heating, water and heat supply systems. The history of plumbing goes back to the ancient Sumerians, although many mistakenly think that it began with the rise of technological progress. During excavations, archaeologists discovered a carved throne-stool that belonged to Queen Shubad. The find dates back to 2600 BC. In those days, Europeans could not even imagine making such devices. The next who tried to increase their comfort when using latrines were the ancient Greeks and Chinese. In enlightened Europe, people still continued to relieve themselves in the old fashioned way, and stories about the traditions of the local nobility shocked contemporaries. The world's first toilets appeared only at the beginning of the last century. Since then, plumbing devices have been constantly improved. Baths were invented by the same ancient Greeks. Later, the idea was adopted by the ancient Romans, who respected the inventions of their neighbors. In Rome, public baths were opened everywhere, in which noble Roman citizens often rested, communicated, and even resolved important issues. Baths have remained virtually unchanged since the times of the Hellenes - this is the very case when there is no point in reinventing the wheel. But the mixer was invented by Lord Kelvin in the 19th century. The average person rarely encounters plumbers. We usually only call a specialist if something is broken. In fact, it is necessary to systematically check the operation of all plumbing devices, as this will prevent equipment failure. No one knows who took the initiative to introduce a new holiday, but all the specialists who work with water supply, sewerage and heating systems accepted and supported it. Unfortunately, at the moment, Plumber's Day does not have an official status, although this may change in the future. On this holiday, we recommend congratulating all your friends who work in this professional environment.
While the Orthodox Church on November 19 honors the memory of St. Paul the Confessor and St. Varlaam of Khutyn, in the folk Christian calendar this day is called Pavel the Freeze-up and is marked by the tightening of rivers with a strong ice crust. Saint Paul, who lived in Constantinople in the 4th century, became a victim of the Arian dispute, lost the rank of archbishop and was exiled by Emperor Constantius to Armenia. Paul did not give up his sermons, but one day after the liturgy he was attacked and strangled with an element of the bishop’s vestment - the omophorion. The Monk Varlaam, a native of Novgorod, was born into a family of wealthy parents, but from a young age he decided to devote himself to serving God. After the death of his father and mother, he gave away almost all of his inheritance and went to seek solitude, first in the desert, and then on the banks of the Volkhov River. There, on the Khutyn Hill around his cell, the parishioners founded a monastery, for which Varlaam created a charter, donated the rest of the inheritance and became its abbot. Over the years of devotion to the Christian faith, the monk was given the gift of working miracles, and even after his death, Varlaam healed those praying. The main concern of ordinary peasants on Pavel Ledostav was preparation for winter ice fishing. It was believed that from this day “winter was on its feet” and the rivers were bound with strong ice, and it was possible to get fishing gear. Housewives paid attention to the behavior of livestock; it was believed that how the livestock felt that day was how it would feel throughout the winter. For example, if a horse ate well, then in winter it would not be afraid of illness, and a good yield of cow's milk meant an abundance of it in the coming cold months. On this day you cannot borrow or lend money. According to signs and sayings, peasants predicted the weather:• birds do not fly, but sit on trees, frost and cold winds are coming;• a scarlet dawn foreshadows precipitation in the form of rain or snow;• if the day on Pavel Freeze-Off turned out to be windless, expect frost soon;• geese swim in reservoirs, a thaw is coming; • if it snows on this day, then the winter will be long and snowy.
Scientists explain the magical aroma of hot baked goods by the presence of 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2-acetopyridine in it. This volatile compound is very unstable, so as soon as the bread cools, it stops smelling. The unique aroma appears as a result of the interaction of more than 60 ingredients and depends on the type and type of flour, the dough recipe, the addition of various additives (anise, caraway, hops, coriander, sesame) and the duration of baking. November 19th is Smell of Fresh Bread Day. A lush loaf with a crispy crust on the table in the house has long been a symbol of well-being. Bread was considered a sacred dish - it was used to greet dear guests and newlyweds, thereby appealing to God's mercy. Therefore, flour products were always baked with folk spells, and after Russia adopted Christianity - with prayers, making the sign of the cross. Each country and region has its own historical traditions of preparing baked goods. In Israel, thin unleavened flatbreads (matzo) are popular, in India, Pakistan, Nepal and Tajikistan - aromatic naan with spices (saffron, cardamom, turmeric, coriand, paprika). In Russia they bake white, rye and whole grain bread, in Armenia - lavash, in Georgia - shoti, in Uzbekistan - shirmay-nan with anise-pea sourdough, in Mexico and Spain - tortilla, in Italy - ciabatta with olive oil, herbs and garlic. The famous poem by D. Rodari “What crafts smell like” begins with the following lines: The aroma of bread largely depends on the type of grains, sourdough or sourdough with kefir, milk, kvass or beer, and various additives. But even with the simplest cooking recipe, a fresh loaf gives off an indescribable pleasant smell of satiety and well-being. Bread, one of the most popular food products, is dedicated to songs and poems. A scene from the film “The Fate of Man” is included in the classics of world cinema, where S. Bondarchuk’s hero divides the land among all the inhabitants of a barracks in a German camp. This song was performed for the first time in 1978 by the Kuban Cossack Choir. It is no coincidence that it emphasizes the reverent attitude towards bread, thanks to which people survived during the Great Patriotic War. The calorie content of products made from wheat, rye and whole grain flour has made them the most popular dishes. In many countries around the world, bread and flatbreads are a separate product, eaten with fillings, butter, jam and meat. Residents of Russia eat the first and second courses with slices of loaf, and sometimes eat it with cereals and other flour products. This creates a feeling of fullness during numerous fasts and allows you to eat less food. French scientists have found that people become kinder when smelling baked goods. After all, most of us associate hot bread with home comfort and warmth, family well-being and prosperity. It’s not only the crispy crust and airy crumb of the loaf that excites the appetite, but also its aroma. In honor of this unique characteristic of flour products, the Day of the Smell of Fresh Bread was established.
Teddy Bear Day in Russia is celebrated annually on November 19th. This is a symbol of warmth, joy, comfort, tenderness. That is why it is present in almost any children's room. Even adults often buy each other these soft cuties as gifts as a memento of halcyon times. Thanks to this, this toy has received such close attention and has its own birthday. According to many, this holiday appeared during the time of Theodore Roosevelt. This is an American president who ruled at the beginning of the 20th century. He loved hunting. One day, on his next trip, he was given a small bear cub to be shot. He was caught in advance and tied to a tree. The President refused to shoot, ordering his release, thereby saving the beast. This news spread throughout the country. The owner of a candle shop, originally from Russia, decided to sew a teddy bear in honor of such an event and name it after the president, having first asked permission. This is how this still beloved toy appeared. After its creation, it quickly gained popularity among people. Interesting Facts: Most of the planet's inhabitants associate the most pleasant memories from childhood or adulthood with this soft creature. Many fell asleep with him or are still sleeping with him. He deserves that people celebrate his birthday every year, remembering his significance in their destiny. When this holiday arrives, it is worth purchasing another teddy bear if a person is a collector of these beautiful and cute toys. You can make this a tradition by adding to your family every year. If a person is not a collector, then on this day it is simply worth giving each other these cuties, at least small ones, in order to remind them of their significance and warmth in our lives.
November 19 is Women's Entrepreneurship Day, which is celebrated relatively recently. However, this holiday is becoming increasingly popular due to its relevance. It is held under the auspices of the UN, which also says a lot. This date dates back to 2014, and the UN became the pioneer, that is, the initiator of its implementation, and then the idea was picked up by business circles. Perhaps at first someone did not believe that this holiday would be truly popular. Some people even classify it as a “funny celebration,” but life has shown otherwise. To date, more than 144 countries have recognized Women's Entrepreneurship Day, and the number is growing. Is there a specific person who put forward the idea of celebrating this day at the UN? Yes, this is Ellis Diamond, who has worked as a volunteer in Latin America for a long time and participated in many charitable projects. The founder of the holiday also had her own calculations. Thus, she intended to attract the attention of wealthy businesswomen to the problems of poverty. It is known that there are many women among the poor. There are also many women who were forced to sacrifice their careers and the opportunity to do business in order to devote themselves to their families. The celebration draws attention to other issues as well. In particular, there are many representatives of the fair sex who have a certain talent for doing business. They have business sense, intuition, a streak of entrepreneurship, they want and know how to create a new product and bring something new to the market. However, the legislation of their countries significantly limits this matter. And in this case, this holiday raises the question that ideally, in all countries of the world, women and men should have equal rights and opportunities to do business. In many ways, it is women who suffer from the stereotypes ingrained in society that their purpose is solely “to create home comfort.” The statistics are encouraging, indicating that every year there is an increase in women's involvement in business. This is especially noticeable in Western countries, in Europe, and in some Asian countries. There is even a concept called the Women's Entrepreneurial Activity Index. It is on this basis that conclusions are drawn about how the situation in the world is changing. According to experts and analysts, the forecast is very favorable. The holiday is intended to popularize women's entrepreneurship. Traditionally, many companies mark this date with charitable events aimed at helping families and providing decent education to vulnerable segments of the population, including women. On November 19, you can also hear about the problems of gender equality and other related aspects. In order to overcome these barriers, special assistance programs are created to encourage women to do business, get an education, and learn new skills in order to subsequently develop their business. In numerous companies, small firms and huge corporations, it is customary to congratulate female employees on this day and reward the most active businesswomen who do not forget to engage in charity work, donating part of the funds to foundations. Many holidays become the basis for holding such charitable events, and Women's Entrepreneurship Day is the best fit for this. Some companies hold corporate events. This holiday can be celebrated creatively, even just to congratulate a businesswoman, celebrate the conclusion of successful deals, or spend the evening in a cozy restaurant in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Traditionally, there are more programs on television devoted to both the topic of entrepreneurship in general and stories about women who have achieved the greatest success. In particular, the famous Forbes magazine regularly compiles lists of the richest women entrepreneurs in the world, the number of which numbers in the hundreds. Some businesswomen are worth more than $10 billion.
Day of National Mourning in Germany (Volkstrauertag)
The third Sunday in November is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. According to the UN resolution, since October 2005, this date has been official. Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is a sad day for the whole world. Harsh statistics at the moment dictate their terrible figures. Every day, road accidents claim the lives of more than three thousand people, and another hundred thousand are injured. Road traffic is a source of great danger; it requires impeccable compliance with the rules by both drivers and pedestrians. Despite the holding of mass events on safe traffic and toughening of measures for violations of rules, the growth of emergency incidents on the roads does not stop. That is why the main purpose of the chosen date is to attract everyone’s attention to problems that claim more lives per year than during a military conflict. The third Sunday in November was not chosen by chance. This is exactly one week after Remembrance Sunday, which takes place in most Western countries of the world. This is a tribute to memory and respect for those killed in road accidents, condolences to loved ones who have lost loved ones on the roads, and charitable assistance to victims who have received serious injuries. In all countries of the world, widespread campaigns are being held to call people out about problems on the roads. Organizers and volunteers hand out leaflets talking about ways to avoid road accidents. Charitable foundations are working hard to raise funds to help the families of those killed and injured on the roads. The media shows footage of terrible disasters from video cameras and recorders. On this day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sums up the statistics of violations and announces the planned action plan for the prevention of road accidents. The State Duma is hearing bills on road accident problems. Conferences and seminars are held, the main topics of which are discussions on the implementation of unmanned vehicles, the exchange of experience and information on reducing the number of people dying on the roads, issues of cooperation and assistance to developing countries. Motorists on the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Road Traffic Accidents at 16:00 stop and turn on their emergency lights to honor the memory of those who will never come home.
As you know, Ukraine is famous for its black soil - soil on which almost any crops, trees and grapes can be grown. Thus, traveling around Ukraine, you can see what a huge part of its territory is occupied by fields where corn, sunflowers, wheat, buckwheat and many other crops are grown, thanks to which the country’s economy will never be in decline. Geographically, the state is located in such a way that the land receives a sufficient amount of moisture and heat, and also has in its structure all the components important for fertile soil. Of course, the country's residents cannot help but take advantage of this. Products grown in Ukraine - both plant and animal production - have always been distinguished by their quality and naturalness. That is why this state is an exporter of many food products to other countries of the world. Thus, it occupies a leading position in the export of sunflower oil; Ukraine also grows different varieties of corn, and its dairy products are very popular. Winemaking is also developed in Ukraine - many varieties of grapes and other fruits grow only on this land, which means that wine, cognac and other drinks from these varieties are exclusive and are used both for domestic consumption by residents and guests of the country, and for export. Residents of the state have a unique opportunity to consume fresh products, one might say from the fields, without preservatives, which increases their shelf life. It was decided to celebrate the Day of Agricultural Workers of Ukraine in 1993, by decree of the country's president. Thus, every third Sunday in November, all people whose professional activities are related to agriculture celebrate their professional holiday in Ukraine. By the end of November, harvesting ends throughout the state; the harvest is processed and stored for storage or sent to various production sectors, where it is used to produce food for residents of the country and for export. The agricultural sector of Ukraine is one of the leading channels of economic development of the country. Thus, of course, one cannot fail to appreciate the importance of the contribution of every agricultural worker. So, on the third Sunday of November, it is important to thank everyone who works to ensure that the country’s agricultural sector develops; for this purpose, events are organized locally where employees are awarded and rewarded, and concerts with congratulations take place.
