Celebrated on 6 AprilMillions of people spend part of their lives traveling.
After all, the world is a book; those who have not traveled through it have read only one page of it. It’s always interesting to see something new, to get acquainted with a different way of life and a different culture. And what speaks better about the people and their customs than their traditional holidays.
Many people call Thailand paradise on earth for its azure beaches, sun, and clean sand. Don't forget about the rich, centuries-old culture.
April 6 is an official public holiday. It was on this day, more than 200 years ago, that the first king, the founder of the family Rama I, ascended the throne and founded the empire. He was the true father of his people, a wonderful man, a talented statesman. Rama I strengthened the country and its defenses and made Bangkok the capital.
Chakri Dynasty Day is the most beloved holiday in Thailand. Every year, Thais pay tribute to this family. Nobody is working, all institutions are closed. The celebration begins in the Royal Chapel, where a religious ceremony is performed, the meaning of which is to honor the residents of their deceased ancestors. Then the current ruler lays wreaths at the memorial of founder Rama I. After the official part, grandiose concerts, exciting performances and colorful masquerades begin to take place throughout the country. Every city or village is decorated with flowers. They are simply full of color. Everyone has fun, dances, rejoices and presents gifts as a tribute to the memory and honor of the royal family of Chakri. In the evening, large, grandiose fireworks bloom in the night sky, drawing a line, as if foreshadowing the end of this wonderful holiday.
The Chakri family is the history of Thailand. The royal family is highly revered in this country, so Chakri Dynasty Day is a very important holiday for Thais, which is always widely and grandly celebrated. Many tourists come to see the scale and beauty of the celebrations taking place on April 6th.
