Holidays 6 april
The International Day of Sports for Development and Peace is celebrated in the spring season - April 6. The holiday was approved by decision of the UN General Assembly in 2013. Sport is a flexible and powerful tool for promoting development and peace goals. As a basic component of a healthy lifestyle, sport is a vector for positive changes in society. The concept of “sport” includes all types of activities: active recreation, the training process, competitions, achieving the best results, games, various intellectual exercises, etc. Communities in this area operate in every state, activities in them are available to people of different age categories and any level of income. Anyone can choose a suitable sport for themselves. Sports activity, especially at the professional level, is characterized by a special emotional state, such as: combat inspiration, a sense of pride and honor, sports anger, as well as rivalry - all this improves the athlete’s performance indicators. Whatever the psycho-emotional state, sport, as a peaceful activity, contributes to development. The beneficial impact of sport on the life of one person and society as a whole cannot be assessed. General prosperity becomes impossible if there is no physical activity and intellectual work. Sports activities strengthen cooperation between countries and promote solidarity, tolerance and social inclusion at all levels (from local to international). For these reasons, another “red” date has appeared on the athlete’s calendar - the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace. People who connect their lives with sports or are interested in this activity consider April 6th their holiday. Charitable and public associations, as well as government agencies, take part in organizing the celebration. On this spring day, many events take place: seminars and conferences are held, speakers give talks on peace and unity. Documentary programs about honored figures and outstanding victories in this field are broadcast. Sports clubs and other industry institutions organize demonstration performances. World records and other outstanding results are published in the media. Marathon races, bicycle races, games and other competitions are organized, where the best participants are awarded certificates of honor, medals and prizes.
Residents of the Russian capital celebrate the birthday of the Moscow tram on April 6. The holiday is timed to coincide with the grand opening in 1899 of the route along which motor cars, rather than horse cars, began to travel for the first time. Every spring the Moscow Tram Parade is held in the capital. The event is also very popular among citizens, who have great love for this reliable and environmentally friendly mode of transport. Before the advent of horse-drawn carriages, the carriages of which moved along rails using horsepower, only wealthy people could travel long distances around Moscow. With the opening in the 70s. XIX century With the first tram line from the Iversky Gate of Kitay-Gorod to Tverskaya Zastava, travel around the city became accessible to ordinary citizens. The horse-drawn carriage accommodated 16-18 people. The carriages were mostly two-level - travel in the cabin on the first floor cost 10 kopecks, on the imperial bench on the roof - only 5. Only men could climb the narrow spiral staircase to the second floor, because... It was difficult for ladies in fluffy dresses to do this without violating the rules of etiquette. This is interesting: The horse-drawn railway in St. Petersburg appeared in 1863. The tram traveled along the route “6th line - Konnogvardeisky Boulevard - Admiralteyskaya Square” at a speed of 8-12 km/h. And although horse-drawn horse-drawn carriages with box drivers carried about 1 million passengers during the year, the Duma was suspicious of this innovation for a long time. Deputies considered this transport dangerous due to the open area of the imperial. After the adoption of a project for the construction of horse-drawn railway lines in Moscow in 1872, the number of horse-drawn routes increased, and it began to gain more and more popularity. The carriage was served by a coachman, a conductor and postilions who harnessed the horses. Despite the commissioning of electric trams in 1899, horse-drawn trams continued to run around Moscow until 1911. The first electric trams were imported from abroad - cars of the German Volkswagen brand and the Czech Ringhofer (modern Tatra) were running around the capital. In the 1920s in Kolomna they began to produce domestic models of KM and KP, and after the Second World War, at the aircraft plant in Tushino - MTV-82. Since 2017, modern Vityazi-M vehicles with climate control, information boards, chargers for gadgets and satellite navigation began plying the roads. This is interesting: The catchphrase “Annushka has already spilled the oil” from the work of M.A. is widely known. Bulgakov "The Master and Margarita". However, this female name was mentioned in relation to the tram long before the publication of the famous novel. In 1911, routes with letter designations appeared in Moscow - “A”, “B” and “C”, which the capital’s residents began to lovingly call “Annushka”, “Bukashka” and “Verochka”. During the Great Patriotic War, the tram carried passengers, wounded and cargo, despite shelling. He did not stop working during the days of the defense of the capital, even when the metro stopped. G. Narykov, an employee of the Moscow Transport Museum, emphasizes on his excursions: “They say that if a tram is alive in a city, it means that the city has not yet been broken.” It is not for nothing that residents of the capital have special sympathy and respect for this heroic mode of transport. And that’s why we happily celebrate the birthday of the Moscow tram on April 6th. This is interesting: A tram of two, three or more cars, moving without private stops at an average speed of 21-24 km/h, is often called an above-ground metro. For the first time in the USSR, this type of public transport appeared in 1973 in Kyiv. Czech Tatra T3 carriages transported capital residents on 3 routes. The cost of a ticket for a trip on a high-speed tram was equal to the price of a metro token and amounted to 5 kopecks.
April 6 of each year, starting from 2014, is officially recognized as the Day of Physical Culture and Sports Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic. Traditionally, this holiday was celebrated on the last Saturday of September, but in order to update and implement the decision of the UN General Assembly regarding the International Day of Sport for Peace and Development, the sixth day of April became the day of celebration. However, the UN noted that all costs of the celebration should be covered by voluntary contributions from each member of the world community. The proclamation of the Day pursues several goals. The first of them is to develop the values inherent in any athlete. These include fair play, team spirit and respect for the opponent. Sport is one of the educational tools that helps develop personal qualities in a person: tolerance, understanding, solidarity, cooperation and others. Also, one of the purposes of the existence of the holiday is not only to involve people in sports, but also to raise awareness among the population about the existence of such a Day. The formation of sports in the Kyrgyz Republic was marked by the establishment of Soviet power. Despite such a short period of time, the sport has achieved impressive success. The number of significant victories and famous Kyrgyz athletes is not measured in dozens, or even hundreds. Promotion of sports is important for involving the younger generation in such a useful movement. Here it is worth talking not only about the physical condition of people, but also about the spiritual and moral components. The goal of the holiday is to transform love for sports from words into real actions. Sport should become an integral part of life. The celebration of the Day does not recognize any differences in nationality, gender or religion. This is a national holiday created for those who are partial to sports and physical education and lead a healthy lifestyle. One of the priorities of the state policy of the Republic is the health and physical culture of the nation. After all, the construction of a prosperous Kyrgyzstan is unthinkable without a strong and healthy population, which is its foundation.
Every year on April 6, employees of Russian investigative bodies celebrate their professional anniversary. On this day in 1963, a special order of the Supreme Council of the Soviet Union came into force. This document marked the beginning of the formal activities of the country's investigative department. His key responsibilities included prosecuting all kinds of crimes. At the same time, police representatives retained the right to conduct full investigations into a significant number of atrocities. It is worth considering that the creation of such a device was a necessary measure. This was facilitated by the extremely difficult forensic situation prevailing in Russia. And as practice later proved, such an idea turned out to be the right decision. During the period of fruitful work, management employees were able not only to improve their skills and strengthen themselves, but also to develop personal methods of doing business, to determine the most competent structure and style of work, many professional experts in this field appeared. It is not the police who initiate criminal cases and investigate them, but investigators. Police officers only carry out an inspection and transmit the received data to the Investigative Committee, where its employees make a decision on whether to initiate or reject the case in the VUD. In a situation where a case has been opened, the investigator controls the entire process. He gives instructions to police representatives and detectives. In the course of his work, he is forced to carry out difficult and varied work, monitoring every stage of the investigation. Can work both indoors at a desk and outside. Key goals of the profession: Important qualities are honesty, organization, justice, restraint, determination, independence, etc. At the same time, the investigator must be impartial, have the ability to analyze and process the received material, have good intuition and memory, an intellectual mind, etc. In addition, the investigator must have a legal education from a higher educational institution. Good knowledge of forensic, criminal law, psychological, philosophical and other sciences is also required. On this holiday, April 6, all representatives of the investigative department of the Russian Federation receive sincere congratulations from their colleagues and civil servants, and the most distinguished ones are presented with awards and rewarded with bonuses. Celebrations dedicated to this date are also being built in.

April 6 (March 24 according to the old style of the calendar) is popularly celebrated as the day of Artemon - take the runner. The holiday was named in honor of Saint Artemy Selevsky (Thessalonica), who served as a bishop in the 1st-2nd centuries. His memory is honored in the church calendar on this day. Artemy was a devout Christian believer in the city of Seleucia, located on the territory of modern Turkey. Seeing the monk's righteousness, the Apostle Paul appointed him to the position of bishop in Seleucia. Artemy was devoted to church affairs, wisely gave advice to parishioners, and helped the poor and sick. For his beneficence, Artemy was considered the intercessor of the disadvantaged. It was time to go to Artemon, the streets were getting warm during the day, the snow was actively melting. On the roads it mixed with the ground, and in the evening it sometimes became frosty. If the owners did not have time to replace the sleigh with a cart, then the runners of the sleigh were often scraped on the frozen surface of the ground, and sometimes the runners were torn. Since the day was the eve of the Annunciation, a major holiday when work was not allowed, the peasants tried to have time to redo all household chores. The housewives were cleaning the premises and preparing the evening meal before the holiday. The owners worked in the garden and repaired equipment. There was a tradition on Artemonov Day to go to the temple and bless the seeds of garden crops. Residents believed that this would give the plants a chance to grow better after planting. But unmarried girls enjoyed attending the night service in the temple. They said that such a service would help them marry a respectable man. After sunset, residents lit large fires in their courtyards and near churches in order to drive away evil spirits from the settlement. Broken wooden things and old straw stuffing from mattresses were burned in them. The owners believed that by burning used items, they would get rid of old problems. Then, with torches, the peasants walked around their property in a circle, driving out evil spirits. Also, fireplaces in villages helped late travelers reach their settlements around the world. If snow fell on Artemon, the residents expected a rich buckwheat harvest. Frosty weather foreshadowed an abundance of oats at harvest. Drops of dew in the morning were observed to indicate millet yield. The warm night promised early spring.
Orthodox holidays on April 6:
The Annunciation, a great Orthodox holiday, has a fixed date. It is celebrated annually on April 7th. According to the Gospel, on this day the Archangel Gabriel informed the Virgin Mary that she would give birth to the Savior of the human race. On April 6, the day before the onset of the celebration, the Eve of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated. The holiday began to be called the Annunciation in the 7th century. Before this, it was called greeting, redemption, proclamation and incarnation. According to the customs on the eve of the celebration, April 6, believers must prepare for the Annunciation:• take communion and confess in church;• clean up the house;• bake Lenten pies in the form of larks and other birds;• at a family dinner, remember deceased relatives, ask for their protection alive from misfortunes and troubles. A solemn service is held in the church on the night of April 6-7 - an all-night vigil. The choice of canons for worship is determined by the period in which the Eve of the Annunciation falls - Great Lent, Easter or Bright Week. This is interesting: April 6 is also considered the Day of Zechariah the Faster, who lived in the caves of the Pechersky Monastery. The saint, who saw angels, cast out demons with prayers, healed mental illnesses and did other good deeds. Zechariah received the nickname “The Faster” because, having imposed asceticism on himself, he stopped eating baked and boiled food, eating only grass after sunset. Before the arrival of Christianity in Rus', another significant holiday for the Slavs was celebrated at the Annunciation. On this day, the gates of Svarga (Iria) opened - the heavenly paradise, the “sunny country”, where the souls of the dead went. According to legends, they were carried there by larks, which is why on March 6, pies in the shape of these birds are baked. Storks with babies flew from Iria, in which the souls of previously living people were embodied. This is interesting: In the Orthodox tradition, birds are released from cages on the Annunciation. This ritual came to Christianity from paganism. Therefore, at the end of the Divine Liturgy, clergy symbolically release doves into the sky from the porch of the church. Most of the celebrations of our ancestors were associated with natural cycles. The last ten days of March marked the spring equinox. Catholics and Protestants celebrate the Annunciation according to the Gregorian calendar on March 25. Christian celebrations are tied to the Julian calendar, so the date of the holiday does not coincide with the equinox. It was believed that it was on this day that the earth awakened from winter sleep, light conquered darkness, and Zhiva, the goddess of spring, descended from heaven. She personified love, youth, joy and the blossoming of all things. To facilitate the coming of Alive, our ancestors burned bonfires, i.e. “they burned down the winter” and spent the clicking of spring. With songs and jokes, birds were invited to return from warm countries. Young people climbed hills, roofs of houses and logs of firewood and “hooted spring.” In addition to larks, they baked pies in the shape of stork paws. They were thrown up in the street by children shouting “Busnyu, busnyu, you’re on a galepu, give me a zhita kopa!” The ancient Slavs, in addition to spring spells, also performed other rituals: • fumigated their homes with juniper, which drove away evil spirits; • beat dishes or rang a bell to protect against evil spirits and scare away wolves from livestock; • burned garbage, straw, old bast shoes and other rags , protecting themselves from diseases and evil spells; • they made fires from horse and cow dung, driving away snakes and other reptiles. The stove was not lit in the house to avoid drought and hail. Iriy, the Slavic paradise, was believed to have spring water. Therefore, on the eve of the Opening, Svarga washed themselves in a river or other source to prevent the appearance of scabs. According to folk signs, various predictions were made on the Eve of the Annunciation. Thus, the snow that fell on April 6 foreshadowed a good buckwheat harvest, and gusty winds meant a poor fish bite. Bad weather on Annunciation Eve meant the arrival of a rainy summer, the singing of a lark meant the imminent onset of warmth, and the chaffinch meant a cold snap. The custom of celebrating spring dates back to the traditions of the ancient Slavs. Christians celebrate the Annunciation at this time. The eve of the holiday for Orthodox believers falls on April 6, the day they received news of the impending birth of Jesus Christ.

Lent before Easter consists of forty-eight days. Its first part lasts until Palm Sunday and is called the Holy Quentarian Day, meaning forty days. The week (seven-day week) begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. There are 7 parental Saturdays a year, but during the Great Easter Lent there are 3 of them. These are the Saturdays of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks. The significance of these days lies in remembering ancestors. They are called parental to refer to parents and previous generations. On such Saturdays they remember the rest of their deceased relatives. In Orthodoxy, it is customary to honor and love loved ones, both living and those who have gone to the Almighty. Christ Himself commanded everyone to love each other. From Monday to Friday in Lent it is not possible to hold funeral services, magpies and other funeral services dedicated to the deceased. In order to express memory and love to them, prayer singing is held in holy houses on parental Saturdays, which is necessary to remember those who have left our world. Sometimes a person leaves the world by accidental death. For example, in a car accident or fire, then he does not have time to confess before his death and ask for forgiveness from his loved ones. If this is not done, his soul will suffer in the afterlife. And so that a loving relative does not worry about the soul of the deceased, special parental days have been created for the liturgy. Sometimes it happens that a servant of God is not able to fight the difficulties of life. Having taken a step towards suicide, he gives birth to the gravest sin. The temple servant is no longer able to help the unfortunate man - he cannot be prayed for, since only personal confession will help him forgive his sins. But a suicidal sinner has relatives who find it painful to think about his soul. For such death row prisoners, you can also order a memorial service on one of your parents’ Saturdays. At services on the 3 above-mentioned Saturdays, with the help of prayer they ask the Creator for the repose of the soul of the deceased. Before the prayer service, the priest of the temple is given a paper with names (after baptism). It is important for the person requesting the prayer funeral to attend the service, light a candle, and then pray with the household for the deceased ancestors. It is advisable to visit the burial place of a deceased relative. Thanks to such prayers, the living make it easier for the dead to remain in the next world.
