Celebration of the Icon of the Mother of God "Merciful"

In Rus', the image of the Mother of God “Merciful” appeared in the 17th century and became the main shrine in the Moscow Conception Convent. In the 20s, after the destruction of the monastery, the icon was transferred to the nearest church, and only in 1999, when the life of the monastery began to revive, the icon returned to its original place. According to legend, this image was painted by the holy Apostle Luke.
