Holidays 25 november
From time immemorial, a woman in a family has been the caretaker of the home, raising children and keeping the house in order. She plays an important role in society. But almost every third representative of the fairer sex, according to the UN, faces various types of violence. On this occasion, in 2000, the UN announced the creation of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The date was determined to be November 25, it was on this day in 1960 that the three Mirabal sisters, activists of the revolutionary movement fighting the Dominican dictator Rafael Trijulo, were brutally murdered. The purpose of establishing this event was the need to bring to society the problems of violence against women, as well as to do everything possible to reduce cases of abuse against them. The abuse of women is on a global scale. Violence occurs in all levels of social status, cultures, nations, even in civilized society. The risk of being harmed by physical or moral pressure in women of reproductive age exceeds the possibility of being exposed to cancer, becoming a victim of military operations or accidents. But statistics are often underestimated, because the incident of violence itself becomes a tragedy for the woman, humiliation, psychological trauma, and the victim is ashamed to openly report it. Violence is any act of coercion, intimidation, physical force, or insults. The worst thing is that the aggressor towards a woman is often a person she knows. In any segment of the population, relatives can threaten and beat representatives of their clan, and cases of coercion into sexual intercourse are not uncommon. Besides, age is no barrier to such torment. Both adult women and teenage girls, even little girls, are subject to violence. In some countries, girls are married off at too young an age or sent into sex work. During war, the female population is at greater risk of being victims of abuse or forced sexual relations than in normal times. There are states that adhere to ancient rituals, perform unnecessary surgeries on the genitals of young girls or steal brides. The problem of abuse of the weaker sex has its negative impact on society. First of all, the costs affect the country's economy, because in the medical care of a woman injured after an act of violence, it is necessary to allocate more funds for treatment, and her childbirth can be much more difficult than for other representatives. Also, the victim's performance may decrease after bullying. But the most unpleasant thing is human suffering and the feeling of pain brought by violence.

Indifference and apathy are frequent companions of satiety. A person who has been engaged in the same activity for a long time gets tired of monotony and monotony. The consequence of this is anxiety, loss of interest in life and despondency. This problem was brought to the attention of the Americans Thomas Roy and his wife Ruth, the authors of 80 “special days” included in the Chase National Holiday Calendar. On their initiative, an unusual and funny Blase Day is celebrated on November 25th. Psychologists are well aware of the problems of older people associated with fatigue and weariness from life. In adulthood, for most of them, the world no longer seems amazing and unusual, but on the contrary, it seems boring and monotonous. People of retirement age complain that they are sick of everything around them. Nothing can captivate them and ignite a fire in their hearts, as it did in their younger years. Spleen, blues and apathy are characteristic not only of old age, when a period of extinction of the vital functions of the body begins. In modern people, the effect of psychological satiety is observed regardless of age, social status and income level. Stability and predictability of life are good to a certain extent. If monotony and monotonous rhythm of existence become constant companions, disgust and irritation from the current situation sets in. A person loses interest in work or any other activity that he performs day after day for months or even years. The lack of thrills needs to be compensated - you need to try to diversify life by introducing a new spirit into it. Hedonists are aimed at obtaining pleasure and pleasure from life in all its manifestations. These sybarites and epicureans are unknown to torment, mental suffering and soul-searching. Hedonists strive to satisfy all their needs, sensual ones first of all. They are convinced that man is born for joy and happiness. Problems of satiety are unknown to such people. The psychological phenomenon associated with the loss of the ability to receive pleasure is called anhedonia. In this state, a person loses motivation for activities that previously brought pleasure - work, hobbies, playing sports, listening to music and communicating with friends. Anhedonia is one of the symptoms of serious mental disorders (depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, depersonalization, etc.) and signs of satiety, which needs to be gotten rid of. The recipe for returning to the joys of life is quite simple. If you notice symptoms of satiety and loss of interest in the world around you, do something unusual. Start taking rock climbing classes or extreme driving courses, sign up for a macramé weaving workshop, or go skydiving. Any change of activity will have a positive impact on the psychological state of a person who is tired of monotonous everyday life. Don't rush to quit your boring job - maybe you just need to start taking a creative approach to doing it. Find strength in yourself and try to diversify your life, let the Day of Saturation become a holiday that is not on your calendar!
On the 25th of leaf fall (November), the Slavs celebrated Madder Day. Madder, or Marana, was considered by the pagans to be the goddess of Death and ailments, bitter frosts and severe cold. The same root words for this name are “fool”, “Kikimora”, “darkness”. Madder in Slavic mythology was a symbol of the dying of autumn nature. The pagan Slavs believed that by November 25 the goddess would finally expel the solar Yarila and establish the Kingdom of snow and frost everywhere. According to legends, when Madder comes into its own, then the earth plunges into a long winter sleep. The Slavs believed that from that time on, Marena's minions - maras - walked around houses at night and called out loud the names of household members. Whoever responded was immediately taken to the kingdom of Death. The Goddess cuts the Threads of Life with her sickle. Together with the Maras, Marena tries to kill the sun every morning, but every time she retreats in horror before its great power. However, among the Slavs it was not customary to consider the goddess a negative character, because death is a harbinger of new life. During the celebration of Marena's day, the Slavs did not bring her services and did not honor her. Moreover, on this day it was not even possible to praise other gods, otherwise Marena would take the praise for herself and gain strength. Since the winter cold was worst tolerated by weak children and frail old people, people prayed for their health and happiness. Pancakes and jelly, carrots and turnips must be present on the table on this day. On this day there was a ban on lighting large fires. It was not customary to sing songs and dance in circles. People went to the swamp to show Marena that they were not afraid of her. There they dipped flaming brands into the quagmire to repel the goddess. The Slavs monitored the weather on this day. If at noon the sun was shining brightly and the weather was clear, then early spring was expected. If the clouds floated against the wind, it was necessary to prepare for heavy snowfalls.
One of the postulates of Hinduism and Buddhism is the doctrine of the aura - an invisible shell that forms the human energy field. It is located around the head and body, has the shape of a cocoon and shimmers in different colors in the chakra area. Few people have an idea about the biofield and its significance for human life. Since 2002, the fourth Saturday in November has been celebrated around the world as International Aura Awareness Day. The concept of a biofield around a person is present not only in Eastern teachings. It is close to Christianity and Islam: in the understanding of these religious beliefs, the aura is symbolized by a halo or halo around the head of saints. International Aura Awareness Day aims to promote knowledge about the human energy field and the importance of keeping it clean. Meditations and prayers are well suited for these purposes; they not only help cope with stress, depression and harmonize the inner world, but also treat various ailments. Indeed, according to the doctrine of the biofield, any pathology begins to develop at the energy level, and only after a while the physical symptoms of the disease begin to appear. Any living organism has a biofield. Both trees and animals have an aura. For our smaller brothers, it consists of 3 thin shells, similar to the astral, metal and etheric bodies of humans. Animals also have chakras because... have an energy system. Therefore, they can protect their owners from magical attacks, taking the blow themselves. The oval cocoon located around the body of the average person is about 5 cm thick. The diameter of the aura depends on individual characteristics. Usually it is slightly greater than the distance of arms extended to both sides. The aura can reach 1.5-2 m if a person is healthy, full of strength and self-confident. Energy-pumped people who constantly work on themselves are able to expand their aura to 18 m or more. For spiritual leaders it extends for kilometers. The human biofield is heterogeneous. The aura consists of 7 main bodies, like a Russian nesting doll, layered on top of each other. On the physical plane, the ethereal is located closest to the human body, followed by the emotional and astral. Next comes the mental body. It is followed by the casual, buddhic (spiritual) and atmic. Each layer is associated with a specific energy center of a person - his chakras. The contours of the biofield and the size of the aura can be determined using dowsing (vines or frames), a pendulum, hands, practicing the sensory-manual diagnostic method, and using internal vision. The energy cocoon of a healthy person has an ovoid shape, a smooth surface, is not curved and is located symmetrically relative to the axis of the body. International Aura Awareness Day is celebrated by holding various educational events about the presence and structure of the human biofield. At the seminars, students are taught to stop internal dialogue and practice contemplation. Meditation helps you see your own energy cocoon and the aura of other people. Followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Agni Yoga, other religions and esoteric schools are convinced that a person’s physical health, the success of his endeavors and a happy life depend on the purity of the biofield. International Aura Awareness Day is celebrated with the aim of attracting public attention to the importance of spiritual values, bright thoughts and good deeds, which determine the state of a person’s aura.

On one of the last days of autumn - November 25, Rus' celebrated the holiday of Ivan the Merciful, known to Orthodox Christians as the day of remembrance of John the Merciful. Born in the 7th century on the island of Cyprus, Saint John continued the family line of a nobleman, at the insistence of his parents, he married and had children. However, God decreed John's fate differently: when his wife and children died, he became a monk. Even at the beginning of his ministry, John was distinguished by his strict observance of fasts, prayerfulness and love for mankind. Having learned about his merits, Emperor Heraclius invited John to become Patriarch of Alexandria. Over the years of his ministry, Saint John became known for his care for his flock and his good deeds, for which he was given the nickname “The Merciful.” He gave instructions to count all the Alexandrian beggars, who turned out to be more than 7 thousand people, each of whom the church provided assistance. John, with his own hand, distributed alms several times a week, visited hospitals and received receptions for the destitute, and donated an impressive part of the church treasury to ransom prisoners held by the Persians. Another achievement of the saint was the successful fight against supporters of monothelitism. Having renounced the title for health reasons, he went to his native island of Cyprus. On the way, John saw a dream that foreshadowed his imminent death. What soon happened. On this day, women prayed to the saint for the well-being of their children. The wedding season was ending. The next matchmakers were expected in the fall - on Easter and Krasnaya Gorka. November 25 was also considered a good sign to exchange gifts. The second name of the holiday is Ivan the Snow; usually the end of November was accompanied by frequent snowfalls. It was believed that if precipitation fell on November 25, the thaw would last until December 4. According to folk signs, winter was judged by the weather on Ivan the Merciful: • rain foreshadowed a thaw during the week and damp weather until February; • if there were warm days, then spring would come earlier than usual; • low clouds indicated the onset of frosty days.

In Rus', the image of the Mother of God “Merciful” appeared in the 17th century and became the main shrine in the Moscow Conception Convent. In the 20s, after the destruction of the monastery, the icon was transferred to the nearest church, and only in 1999, when the life of the monastery began to revive, the icon returned to its original place. According to legend, this image was painted by the holy Apostle Luke.
