Every year on April 6, employees of Russian investigative bodies celebrate their professional anniversary. On this day in 1963, a special order of the Supreme Council of the Soviet Union came into force. This document marked the beginning of the formal activities of the country's investigative department. His key responsibilities included prosecuting all kinds of crimes. At the same time, police representatives retained the right to conduct full investigations into a significant number of atrocities. It is worth considering that the creation of such a device was a necessary measure. This was facilitated by the extremely difficult forensic situation prevailing in Russia. And as practice later proved, such an idea turned out to be the right decision. During the period of fruitful work, management employees were able not only to improve their skills and strengthen themselves, but also to develop personal methods of doing business, to determine the most competent structure and style of work, many professional experts in this field appeared. It is not the police who initiate criminal cases and investigate them, but investigators. Police officers only carry out an inspection and transmit the received data to the Investigative Committee, where its employees make a decision on whether to initiate or reject the case in the VUD. In a situation where a case has been opened, the investigator controls the entire process. He gives instructions to police representatives and detectives. In the course of his work, he is forced to carry out difficult and varied work, monitoring every stage of the investigation. Can work both indoors at a desk and outside. Key goals of the profession: Important qualities are honesty, organization, justice, restraint, determination, independence, etc. At the same time, the investigator must be impartial, have the ability to analyze and process the received material, have good intuition and memory, an intellectual mind, etc. In addition, the investigator must have a legal education from a higher educational institution. Good knowledge of forensic, criminal law, psychological, philosophical and other sciences is also required. On this holiday, April 6, all representatives of the investigative department of the Russian Federation receive sincere congratulations from their colleagues and civil servants, and the most distinguished ones are presented with awards and rewarded with bonuses.
