According to the folk calendar - Erofeev Day
Celebrated on 17 OctoberOn this day, tribute of respect is paid to Saint Hierotheos of Athens.
According to folk superstitions, on this day the goblin and other evil spirits left their forest possessions for the winter and fell through the ground, not appearing until the warmth of spring.
