According to beliefs, the goddess Krinitsa, who was responsible for fertility and prosperity, lived in the springs. The underground waters that came to the surface nourished people with their life-giving moisture, protected them from adversity and gave them strength. Cold spring water was collected in buckets, drunk and washed to improve health. On April 22, they not only guessed, but also tried to remember the dreams they saw, which were considered prophetic.
