Giving Day to the World

September 27th is the day of giving to the world. How to spend this day, what to devote it to? You can make a gift for yourself, you can make a gift for a loved one, or you can make a gift for the world - and become a volunteer! This way you will help one or several complete strangers. Volunteerism and voluntary work have several areas, take a closer look, perhaps one of them will appeal to you. The most common is social volunteering. You can find information on the Internet about one of the charitable organizations that provide volunteer activities in your city. Help and support in social terms are needed by the elderly and disabled, orphans and lonely people. The need for help can be expressed in home delivery of groceries, accompaniment, or collecting gifts for the New Year. If you have a creative profession, you can conduct a master class in one of the orphanages, for example, using your creative skills. You can make a useful gift to the world by becoming a volunteer ecologist. Environmental volunteering involves many types of activities. To do this, you need to find organizations on the Internet that need help in your city. You can become an assistant in the conservation of flora and fauna (help in planting trees) or an assistant in cleaning the urban environment from garbage. Or you can go on a trip to a national park and become an assistant to real ecologists or ornithologists! Nature reserves and national parks that are looking for volunteer assistants post their vacancies on their own official websites. Another type of volunteering is donation. You can also check out charities in your city that need help donating blood or raising awareness. If you want to take part in any cultural event, you can become an event volunteer, or a volunteer for one or more events. You can become a volunteer at a sporting event: the Olympics, Universiade, championship, etc. You can become a volunteer in a museum or library as part of some event. Or you can go to your favorite concert or festival, completely free! Join the concert crowd and see the event from the “wrong” side, and maybe meet the artists! There are many activities you can get involved in, developing your interests and skills while helping others. By spending one or more days as a volunteer, you will change your life, expand your horizons, share your experiences, and gain new ones. You will never forget this event, and perhaps you will want to help again and again. How to give a gift to the world? You need to look at the world from different angles. And perhaps then the world itself will tell you what it needs. And you can become a superhero and immediately go to the rescue.
