Holidays 10 may
On Monday they usually plan to stop drinking, start playing sports and other useful activities, starting life with a clean slate. In this way, a person makes an internal reboot so that, following the transformation of habits and worldview, external circumstances change. Is it possible to start living again in another way? Yes, if higher powers push you to do so. People who miraculously escaped death are said to have been born with a shirt on. This chance is given to a person so that he makes entries and takes into account the mistakes made in life. As a rule, such a lucky person celebrates his second birthday in honor of salvation. Sikhs, followers of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism are convinced that a person is born to solve karmic problems. In published by E.I. Roerich in 1925 treatise “The Chalice of the East”, which consists of letters from Indian Mahatmas, talks about 350 incarnations of the soul in the physical body. According to another theory of reincarnation, a person is born 777 times. He begins his journey on the planet from lower beings and, as consciousness evolves, “grows” to homo sapiens. According to myths, divine beings could incarnate many times in the same body on Earth. The ancient Egyptians spoke about 9 births of Baset. She was depicted as a woman with the head of a cat and claws on her hands. It was believed that Baset dies and is resurrected 9 times due to his divine nature. Adherents of one of the theories of reincarnation believe that people also go through a similar number of rebirths. According to the theory of nine lives, the human soul is constantly evolving. And every time she will solve the karmic tasks assigned to her. This point of view is shared by astrologer Cindy Myers, who proposed a formula for calculating the order of incarnation of the soul in the human body. An American woman who has been compiling horoscopes for more than 20 years turned to numerology. To calculate, you need to add the date and month of birth, and then add the last 2 digits of the year to them. The obtained result should be compared with the decoding of the number of the incarnation of the soul from S. Myers. The astrologer studied the circumstances of the lives of 10,000 people, most of whom were her clients, and came to surprising conclusions. Thus, people with the number “1” are at the lowest stage of development. They seem infantile and immature to others, because... their soul first incarnated in the human body. “Ones” need to study a lot in order to understand the world as deeply as possible and find their place in it. People living in the third incarnation crave public recognition, so they make various discoveries. They must stop being cautious and find the courage to step outside the box. The karmic task of a person with the number “6”, according to the theory of nine lives, is to help others with whom they need to share experience and knowledge. “Sixes” will have to learn to find a balance between work and personal life, and begin to put the well-being of loved ones above their own interests. Each rebirth endows the soul with wisdom and invaluable experience. Upon completion of the 9th life, she gets the opportunity to incarnate in another dimension and complete the endless rotation in the wheel of Samsara. If a person has not learned his lessons and has not solved karmic problems, a repetition of the cycle of births on Earth is inevitable. The Day of Nine Lives calls on all supporters of reincarnation to understand what stage of evolution the soul is at and what the purpose of the next incarnation is.
The advice of the inner voice and sixth sense often contradicts the arguments of reason. People who listen to their own intuition observe truly amazing events and miracles that cannot be explained in terms of cause-and-effect relationships and logic. Scientists do not see anything mystical in this, considering the presence of a sixth sense to be a property of the brain that appeared at an early stage of its development. This gift, according to neuroscientists, is associated with human emotional memory. “The ability to know before you think,” as writer and coach Jack Canfield calls the inner voice, is very important to develop in yourself. On May 10th, Trust Your Gut Day is celebrated around the world. Successful people are often guided by their sixth sense, rather than by logic and reason, completely trusting this tool for understanding the world. Plato considered intuition to be intellectual knowledge that comes as insight. Einstein also paid great attention to supersensible comprehension of existence and insight. The scientist argued that without intuition, not only great discoveries are impossible, but also obtaining answers to complex questions. People who trust their inner voice are usually happy because... They feel that they are being guided through life by some higher force. Einstein attributed the fact that intuition does not help someone to incorrect formulation of goals and posing questions. The subconscious always gives the right answer, so you need to learn to listen to it. Winston Churchill's unusually developed intuition is widely known. An inner voice saved him from death more than once, informing the British Prime Minister about the possibility of an assassination attempt when they tried to blow up his car, or a German bomb hitting the building at 10 Downing Street. Only 3% of people on Earth have well-developed intuition; about 20% of the population listens to it from time to time. Thanks to this, they are less likely to get nervous heart attacks from unexpected news and get into accidents, and suffer less from neuroses and heart disease. Often the subconscious mind gives signals to a person during sleep, when brain activity is minimal. During wakefulness, intuition manifests itself in the form of clairvoyance or clairvoyance; it manifests itself loudly during meditation or when relaxing the body during a massage. The subconscious signals and makes itself known in various ways. If a person sees a solution to a problem in the form of symbols and images, he has developed emotional intuition, deciphering body signals - physical, receiving answers in the form of unexpected insight ("Eureka!") - mental. The funny Trust Your Intuition Day draws attention to the need to use the inner voice and arguments of the subconscious more often in everyday life. That's why May 10 is celebrated as Trust Your Intuition Day.
Regular physical exercise is necessary at any age, because it helps a person maintain and increase vigor of body and spirit. People who move actively and easily tolerate stress live longer than those who suffer from physical inactivity. The Hellenes and ancient Romans knew about this. "Movement is life!" - said the great scientist and philosopher Aristotle. The holiday established by WHO in 2002 is intended to attract public attention to physical education. On the initiative of the organization, May 10 is celebrated as the World Day of Movement for Health. Events held in honor of the holiday attract people's attention to the prevention of non-communicable diseases. Physical inactivity as a consequence of a sedentary lifestyle leads to a decrease in emotional tone, obesity, problems of the cardiovascular system, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Daily exercises, Pilates, running, dancing, Nordic walking - these and other types of dynamic exercise help improve health. The holiday, celebrated on May 10, encourages adults and children to make movement a norm of life. Professional sports allow gymnasts, swimmers, figure skaters, basketball players and boxers to demonstrate their extraordinary talents and abilities. It increases adrenaline, gives aesthetic pleasure and unforgettable moments of happiness to fans. However, heavy physical activity leads to serious health problems, fatigue and emotional burnout in athletes. Strong physical activity does not force the body to work to the limit of its capabilities in pursuit of records. This means it is the key to physical health and mental balance. The goal of World Move for Health Day is to raise awareness among people about the benefits of movement and an active lifestyle. A person who wants to be healthy must give up smoking, stop drinking alcohol, and start playing sports. To keep your body in good shape, you need to find a hobby you like, which would be associated with regular physical activity. This could be Latin American dancing classes, horse riding, parachuting, badminton or swimming. Proper nutrition, hardening and taking care of the environment are an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, organizers of festive events recommend reconsidering your diet and habits. So, instead of a car and public transport, you should more often opt for a bicycle or walking. Active outdoor games with children and family outings also help strengthen the body's defenses and prevent non-communicable diseases. Celebrating World Move for Health Day is the path to excellent health and longevity.
Before the October Revolution, the abolished Main Directorate for Press Affairs was in charge of censorship and publication of books. After the Provisional Government came to power in Petrograd in May 1917, the Russian Book Chamber was created. The bibliographic institution was responsible for registering books, newspapers, brochures, magazines and other printed publications.
Every year on May 10, Kyrgyzstan celebrates a professional holiday - the Day of Bank Worker of Kyrgyzstan. Thanks to the significant contribution that each employee of the banking structure made to the overall development of the country, in 2003 it was decided to circle May 10 on the calendar, thereby thanking each employee. The main reason for the occurrence of Bank Employee's Day is the national currency. As is known, for the time being, Kyrgyzstan was part of the USSR, where rubles were used as currency. After the collapse, Kyrgyzstan acquired its own currency, which today has the following name - the Kyrgyz som. It was on May 10, 1993 that the national currency of the Kyrgyz Republic appeared. As a rule, the currency of any state at the moment is different from the time when it first appeared. Every country wants to be on the list of leaders in development, so almost everything is subject to change over time, and currency is no exception. The first series of banknotes included 1, 5 and 20 soms. The beginning of the next year was memorable for the fact that the second series was introduced into use, including banknotes in the amount of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 soms. The year 1994 pleased not only with the introduction of new banknotes, but also with the security features that they possessed. Between 1997 and 1999, 1, 5 and 10 som banknotes became stronger in security as well as more unique in design. In addition, the third series once again brought the residents of Kyrgyzstan new banknotes in the amount of 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 soms. Naturally, there were also new protective functions. The fourth series is the currency used among the population today. I would like to start with one interesting point, which is connected specifically with the Tyyns. The fact is that since the introduction of the national currency, namely since 1993, the tyiyns have not changed at all. Tyiyn is also a Kyrgyz currency, but differs from soms in its low value. The exchange rate is as follows - 1 som is equal to 100 tyiyn. Everything that can be seen on banknotes of the minimum denomination has its own meaning. The sun among the Kyrgyz people indicates resilience and openness. It can be seen on the flag and coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition to state symbols, the sun is depicted on tyyns, both on the front side and on the back. The golden eagle on the front side of the currency is a symbol of freedom. Since the day of bank workers in Kyrgyzstan is not a state day, May 10 is considered a regular working day, including the banking structure. Celebrating a holiday for most bank employees means congratulating colleagues, as well as having dinner in a cozy home environment, remembering funny moments associated with their career. If desired, some groups organize banquets in a cafe or restaurant. As a rule, holidays of this level are organized by companies of friends or colleagues who have traveled quite a long way hand in hand. The banking system of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan is currently at the sixth level, which indicates the constant development and improvement of the economic component of the country. It is thanks to constant progress, which has a great effect on the country’s economy, that the government created a special holiday on which bank employees could hear pleasant words addressed to them and continue to work for the good of the country in the same spirit.
Since 2000, a beautiful tradition has appeared in the Azerbaijani capital Baku. An amazing Flower Festival is held there every year on the 10th of May. Despite the fact that the celebration is not recognized as official, the holiday was enjoyed by residents of the Caucasian country and numerous guests. The Baku authorities proposed to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The people happily approved this impulse. Initially, festive events were held every year on May 11th. Since 2004, after his death, the Flower Festival in Azerbaijan is celebrated on the birthday of the leader recognized by the people - May 10. Heydar Aliyev did a lot of useful things for his people. The policy that he supported and pursued during his government, first of all, called on the population of Armenia and Azerbaijan to declare peace among themselves. This motivated the Caucasians to the long-awaited truce. With his decisive actions and good deeds, the Azerbaijani president has earned enormous respect from his nation. In gratitude for spiritual purity, people annually hold various events, including the famous flower festival. Initially, preparations were made for the celebration in advance, starting from January - February. Qualified florists prepared projects for future flower arrangements, and planting of fresh flowers, shrubs, and trees was carried out throughout the city. Initially, on May 10 of each year, in the park named after Heydar Aliyev in front of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, multimillion-dollar compositions of bright flowers and shrubs were located, and rare species of birds were demonstrated. Representatives of many foreign countries showed their works. The laying of flowers at the Heydar Aliyev memorial opened the official part of the celebration, which took place on the seaside boulevard. The cultural program included folk art, children's performances and concerts, various quizzes, competitions, drawings and other events. Evening fireworks after the main concert with pop stars completed the festive day in the “land of lights”. The flower festival, in addition to residents of all regions of Azerbaijan, attracted the attention of numerous tourists and guests of the city. The holiday lasted several days. Everyone, young and old, was happy. In 2016, the new President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, made adjustments to the Flower Festival. Since that time, the celebration has been intertwined with the improvement and landscaping of cities and regions of the country. Organizations and individuals who have expressed a desire to participate in landscaping events can safely do so. In 2016 alone, a huge number of pine trees, poplars, birches, acacias, pomegranate trees, olive trees, numerous shrubs, rose seedlings and other perennial flowers and plants were planted throughout Azerbaijan. The current President, together with his wife, personally participated in the action and planted trees along the highway. The population responded with pleasure to the proposed option for holding the Flower Festival. 113 thousand people took part in landscaping events throughout the Caucasian country. Azerbaijan has become richer in trees by 223 thousand units. Despite the innovations in the celebration of the Flower Festival, celebrations still take place, only more modestly and not on a grand scale. A possible reason for the significant changes was the conflict in Karabakh and the death of the Azerbaijani military. However, traditional festivities have not been cancelled. They are held in the city square, which still attracts a large group of connoisseurs of floral beauty.
German Holidays - Book Day (Tag des Buches)
According to the folk calendar, Semyon the Early Plowman is celebrated on May 10 (April 27, old style). Part of the name of the holiday is taken from the Orthodox calendar - the date of honoring the memory of St. Simeon of Jerusalem, an apostle of the 70. Simeon witnessed Christ’s miracles, after which he accepted Christianity and began to learn God’s word from the apostles. Then Simeon, as an apostle of the 70, set out to spread religion among the pagans, converting them to Christianity. In Jerusalem, the saint was elected bishop, but 40 years later, idolaters slandered Simeon and he, already a venerable old man, was tortured by crucifixion on a wooden cross, where he died. The people called the saint Semyon the Early Tiller, since the period of early plowing began in the northern and central regions. Before sowing grain, the soil was checked for readiness, because too wet or cold soil was detrimental to the crops. The seeds did not germinate in cold soil; they could rot in wet soil. To check, they took a handful of earth in their hands: if the earth gave off warmth and easily crumbled, then it was just right to sow. First, rye was sown - bread was baked from it for satiety, then wheat - for sweetness. The beginning of the arable period was determined by the greening of trees, the croaking of amphibians, or the first rumble of thunder. In some regions, it was forbidden to sing songs near a sown field. Peasants always took plowing seriously and tried to sow the field as quickly as possible, because their existence depended on the resulting harvest. Lost grain seedlings meant the family would be hungry until next summer. Residents believed that an evil spirit awoke on Semyon the Early Tiller, left its lair and headed towards human lands. In order for the peasants to let her in, the evil spirits reincarnated into some kind of animal: a bird, a kitten or a puppy. Therefore, on this day, it was not allowed to accept and feel sorry for those who strayed. More compassionate owners could cross them with the sign of the cross and sprinkle them with holy water; if the animal continued to behave calmly, then it was allowed into the yard and fed. If a rainfall descended on the Seeds of the Early Tiller, they prepared for a generous harvest of rye. A green birch tree announced the beginning of potato planting time. The cry of an owl in the middle of the day foreshadowed inclement weather. Grass without morning dew was observed before the rain. The evening fog on this day promised warming.

Orthodox holidays on May 10:
The Easter holiday among Orthodox believers lasts a whole week, which is called Bright Week. Each year it falls on different dates in April and May, starting immediately after the Resurrection of Christ and ending on Krasnaya Gorka. Divine services in churches in honor of the holiday are held with the Royal Doors open, joyful church chants and bells are constantly heard. All believers are allowed to call them at any time of the day for seven days. Baptisms, weddings and funeral services are not held on Bright Week. After the liturgy, a procession of the cross takes place around the temple. Bright Week is dedicated to doing good deeds - helping others, which includes giving alms to the poor and needy. It was believed that these days the Lord and the apostles wander the earth under the guise of beggars, so donations take on a special meaning. Orthodox Christians try to give up hard work, which is not associated with celebration and fun, and, if possible, perform simple household chores. Throughout Bright Week, also called Easter, the greeting “Christ is Risen!” is heard. The origins of such a long celebration lie in the Bible and religious canons. So, according to the Old Testament, God needed 7 days to create the world and man. Bright Week passes “as one day,” which symbolizes eternal salvation. Each day of Easter week is unique and, according to folk traditions, has a name and rules of celebration. In honor of the holiday, our ancestors went on this day to visit relatives and friends with cottage cheese Easter cakes, Easter cakes on dough with candied fruits and raisins, as well as colored eggs. This promised the owners of the house good luck and prosperity throughout the year until next Easter. On this day, girls gave colored eggs to the boys, and they doused them with water to make their lovers even more beautiful and healthy. Each religious procession around the temple after the service ends with the sprinkling of the believers. On Wet Monday, young and old alike poured themselves at wells and springs to improve their health and wash away illness. In honor of the holiday, latecomers were doused with cold water during morning prayer, as it was believed that absence from church for the liturgy could bring trouble to the family. Women went to visit with Easter cakes and eggs, while men and children stayed at home to farm. On Tuesday, like other days, it is forbidden to swear, overeat and drink a lot of alcohol. Throughout Bright Week, it is customary to read the troparion, kontakion and ipaka of the Hours of Easter. Visiting cemeteries and commemorating the dead is not encouraged. On this day, various fun activities were arranged, swinging on a swing, which, according to popular belief, was supposed to remove all negativity from a person. The girls danced in circles and sang songs. Wednesday was also called "Gradova". It was believed that hard work done on this day could cause hail and destroy the harvest. On Bright Wednesday, candles were placed in churches to protect crops from this natural phenomenon. On this day, the ban on remembering the dead was lifted, but this had to be done without grief, with light sadness. To visit the souls of the dead, doors were opened wide and towels hung on the windows. According to tradition, they went to cemeteries and left Easter eggs and colored eggs there on the graves. The ancient Slavs called Thursday “Navsky” because of the symbolic arrival of the departed from the world of Navi. Bridal viewings were held in the villages. The girls dressed up in their best clothes, the guys put on beautiful shirts. In addition to the shows, spring calls were traditionally held. The girls climbed the hills and hills and invited the warm sun, which would give a good harvest. On this day, it is customary to make peace and forgive offenders. On Bright Friday, the icon of the Mother of God “Life-Giving Spring” is venerated, so the church illuminates the believers with water and sprinkles the gardens and orchards with it. Relatives come to the homes of recently married couples. The young hostess sets the table and generously treats the guests. On Bright Friday, girls wash their faces with ice water to preserve their beauty. On this day, after the service, believers are given special bread with the image of a cross - artos. Pieces of it are kept at home near the icons until next Easter. Artos is given little by little to a sick person for healing. On the evening of Bright Saturday, the Royal Doors in the temple are closed. On this joyful and festive day, any work is postponed, people take to the streets and take part in noisy festivities. The ancient Slavs completed all rituals dedicated to the arrival of spring. On the first Sunday after Easter, Thomas met with the resurrected Jesus, hence the name of this day according to Christian traditions.
Every year on Friday of Easter week, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Appearance of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring". The revered image depicts the Mother of God with the baby Jesus, sitting in a baptismal bowl flowing water. The symbolism of this icon has a long history, dating back to the Byzantine Empire of the 5th century. According to legend, in a shady grove located near Constantinople, a spring of life-giving water flowed. But the place was forgotten and unkempt; the life-giving moisture was almost hidden under the mud that covered it. One day, the future Emperor Leo drove past the grove and on his way he met a blind old man. The blind man asked for a drink, but the Lion did not see water to drink anywhere around. Walking around the grove in search of a source, he heard a voice that indicated where to look for life-giving moisture. Also, the Mother of God, to whom the voice belonged, suggested not only giving the blind man something to drink, but also putting mud from the source on his blind eyes. Leo followed the instructions he heard, and, seeing that the elder was healed, he was convinced of the truth of everything he heard. Among other things, the Mother of God predicted the future glory of the emperor to Leo, and also promised her help in the construction of a temple on the site of the source. When Leo was lucky enough to wear the royal crown, he hastened to build a cathedral on the site of a forgotten grove. Soon, many people coming to the new temple were convinced of the miraculous power of the source, consecrated by the holiness of the Mother of God. Several centuries later, the Byzantine Emperor Justinian was saved by the power of healing water, having listened to the Virgin Mary who appeared to him in a dream. And even during the reign of Muslim Turkey, the holy place was not forgotten and Christians continued to receive the help of healing water. In the 19th century, the source was buried for several decades, but not forgotten. The temple was restored and the area around it was cleared. Today there is a women's Christian monastery there with a hospital and almshouse, and believers rejoice at the revival of the place of healing power on the fifth day of Bright Easter Week. Initially, the icon “Life-Giving Spring” did not have an image of a font of water, since the Mother of God herself was thought of as the source of God’s grace. After the 17th century, a wooden treasure with gushing streams of water appears on Russian icons. On the sides of the Mother of God and Jesus are archangels, and below are saints with bowls in their hands. John Chrysostom, Gregory the Theologian and Basil the Great draw life-giving moisture and then pass it on to the suffering. The weak and sick surround the font, turning with prayers to the heavenly intercessor, awaiting a miracle of healing.
The Orthodox Church honors the memory of the Holy Apostle and Hieromartyr Simeon on May 10. Simeon became a follower of Christ during the Savior’s earthly life. The holy apostle was a relative of Jesus, which meant that their fathers were blood brothers. After the execution and Resurrection of Christ, Simeon becomes an apostle from among the seventy chosen by the Lord himself to spread the Word of God among the pagan world. Together with other missionaries, he moves from village to village, preaching the truths of the faith of Christ and converting idolaters into Christians. Simeon's deeds were so impressive that the apostles decided to entrust him with the See of Jerusalem after the murder of the first Patriarch of Jerusalem, Joseph the Betrothed, by wicked Jews. The city at that time was in decline, devastated by the defeat of the troops of Emperor Titus Vespasian. The new patriarch calmed and instructed all those suffering in Jerusalem, helping them find hope. The Lord granted his apostle a long life, the patriarch lived to be a hundred years old, and saw the revival of the former greatness of the city, filled with followers of the faith of Christ. But even the Holy Apostle had ill-wishers who reported Simeon to the Roman authorities. The elder was accused not only of Christian views, but also remembered his origins from the ancient royal family of David. Representatives of the dynasty of Jewish kings were especially disliked by the rulers of Rome, as instigators of possible riots. As a result of the denunciation, Simeon was taken into custody and subjected to severe torture. Despite his advanced age, the apostle bravely endured all the torment and met death with dignity, crucified on the cross like his relative the Lord Jesus Christ. May 10 was popularly called Semyon Ravnopashets. The sunny days of May were the best time to start plowing. The readiness of the land for sowing could be determined by placing the palms of the hands on the plowed furrow. If your hands feel warm, it means the soil has warmed up enough and is ready for fertility. Thunder, the singing of a lark, or the croaking of frogs were considered other favorable signs for plowing. From year to year, peasants noticed weather signs on Saint Seeds Day: - the rapid running of clouds across the sky promised imminent bad weather; - the cries of owls could indicate the approaching cold weather; - dry grass in the morning foreshadowed evening rain; - the evening fog that formed in the lowlands was certain a sign of the establishment of warm weather; - by watching the clouds one could learn about approaching frosts, they should have appeared at noon in a clear sky; - heavy rain on May 10 predicted a rich harvest of rye.
