Holidays 6 july
A kiss is an act of recognition of sympathy, trust and love. This wonderful touch with the lips can stir up many shades of feelings, because it affects not only the physical side of satisfaction, but also the psychological and emotional. Kisses can be different, expressing honor or respect, affection, lust or deeper feelings, friendly kisses or family, intimate, airy and even virtual! They play an important role in a person’s life, from birth to departure to the world of their ancestors. Therefore, to indicate the importance and vital necessity of this sensual touch, a day was set aside, which, along with many serious, global, historical dates, received international recognition. The date of the first celebration of Kiss Day is considered to be July 6th. And the first who paid attention and began to celebrate this event were the British, a people who adhere to traditions and are distinguished by their stiffness. This happened already at the end of the 19th century, and after one century, through the efforts of the UN, the holiday was awarded official status and received its name - World Kissing Day. How is such an unusual day celebrated? It's very simple - events that take place around the world touch on the topic of kisses and their importance for humanity. Numerous competitions are held that allow you to identify the most unusual, long-lasting, extreme, massive or significant kisses. Individual achievements in the “kissing” field are recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. It is also impossible to do without flash mobs, which are designed to emphasize the peculiarity and beneficial influence of all types of kisses. Often events, concerts, and exhibitions are organized dedicated to the theme of this extraordinary day. The results of research aimed at studying the mechanisms and processes occurring during kissing, as well as their direct impact on all spheres of human life, are also announced. This was achieved thanks to the introduction of a new discipline that devotes all its attention to the study of kisses and their meaning. This unusual science is called phylematology and it has existed since 2006, when it was officially recognized at the Congress of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. It is difficult to overestimate all the spheres of influence of a kiss on a person. Each kiss is unique in its own way, as it carries information at the level of emotions, feelings, and subconscious. And each person identifies the message received in his own way. The only thing that all kisses have in common is that humanity and each of its individuals separately needs a daily dose of kisses and the desire to express their feelings through this extraordinary action.

The Slavs have long used an unusual headdress made of herbs, tree branches and flowers in magical practices. Our ancestors hung wreaths over the front door to ward off evil spirits; to get rid of rodents, they placed them under the first sheaf of the new harvest. A holiday was established in honor of the original Slavic tradition.
The Slavic holiday of Agrafena Bathing Lady is celebrated on July 6th. Its name is associated with the name of Saint Agrippina of Rome, who was subjected to torture because of her love for Christ. This holiday combines both Christian and pagan rituals; this combination occurred in the era of dual faith. It is traditionally associated with the element of water, since from this day swimming in reservoirs begins. This day is considered to be preparation for Midsummer or its initial stage. In some areas, the celebration of Agrafena Bathing House was transformed into the celebration of Ivan Kupala. On this day, women and girls decorated their homes with bunches of herbs and made a special doll, filling it with fragrant herbs. They also went to the grove and, accompanied by melodious singing, broke birch brooms for the bathhouse. However, brooms were made not only from birch, but also from alder, currant, willow, and rowan, adding medicinal herbs to them, which were also collected for Agrafena Bathing Suit. After a day of work, the girls had to go outside the village, walk around the sown fields, singing special Kupala songs. There was also a custom of women rolling on rye; this promised a rich harvest. Not participating in these processes was a great shame: this could bring disaster not only to your yard, but to the entire village. There was a custom on Agrafena Bathing Day to clean wells, then the water in the well, according to legend, would be tasty and healing. The guys dressed themselves in old clothes, collected silt from the river and watered everyone they met, sparing only the poor and old. Then the young people went to the nearest river and performed ablution. In the evening, a visit to the bathhouse was obligatory; bathing in it symbolized deliverance from sinful thoughts and aspirations. Sometimes they cooked a special barley porridge, which they treated to the household, and they did not forget about the beggars. On the banks of the rivers, boys and girls lit fires and had a joint meal. Also, sometimes they dressed the girl up as a bride, sang, had fun next to her, calling her the Swimsuit. The healers stripped naked at night and went to dig up roots and collect herbs. Some wondered about their betrothed and their future fate. They collected burning plants or those that pricked and threw them into the fire, thus saving themselves from troubles and enemies. Grandmothers-healers took children to wash themselves in streams, throwing coins there and asking in return for health for the children.

July 6 is the only Tibetan Buddhist holiday with a fixed date, celebrated according to the European calendar rather than the lunar calendar. On this day in 1935, the Dalai Lama, literally “great teacher,” the head of Tibet, was not just born, but reincarnated. Followers of the religion believe that this is an incarnation of the Buddha of Compassion and refer to him as “His Holiness.” When the physical previous version of the Dalai Lama dies, monks and astrologers perform the tulku ritual - the search for the next incarnation. Tradition says that this is a boy born in a strictly defined period (from 49 days after the death of the previous one - up to 2 years). The 13th Dalai Lama, who died in 1933, gave indirect indications of where to look for his next incarnation. Back in 1909, during a pilgrimage, he visited the village of Taktser and said that he would like to return to these beautiful places again. After leaving its physical shell, the body was embalmed and seated on a throne. The head turned to the northeast, indicating the direction. It was in Taktser that they found a child who met all the criteria: unusual events at birth, non-standard behavior in infancy, recognizable birthmarks of a set shape. On February 22, 1940, a ceremony was held that gave a new name in Buddhism - Tenjing Gyamtsho. Further training in all sciences, such as medicine, philosophy, logic, literature, does not exclude the development of beauty - the study of poetry and music. In the system of training and mentoring, the main role is played by the mentor - Panchen. This is a special status that is based on the interaction between Teacher and Student. Exams are taken in all subjects, the final part of which is in the oldest temple of Jokhang. Its construction began in 639 by the king of Tibet, and now it is the most significant monastery for believers and a UNESCO monument. In 1578, this title appeared, which allowed him to rule the country. The modern redistribution of power allowed the Chinese government to subjugate Tibet in 1959, and the Dalai Lama was forced to leave him and find refuge in India, where up to 100 thousand people followed. And although His Holiness has repeatedly mentioned that he does not strive for independence and has renounced secular power, the Chinese side insists that under the sign of religion there is a split in the integrity of the state. Being from a poor family, the Dalai Lama was imbued with respect and sympathy for the common people, his thoughts are always full of the desire to make their lot easier. The activities of the Dalai Lama are appreciated by awards, prizes, and titles that speak of the peace, compassion, fortitude and kindness inherent in this personality. His merits are appreciated by different countries: the USA, Chile, Italy, where he has an honorary doctorate degree. And also Germany, Korea, Kalmykia and Tuva, whose orders he was awarded. The Nobel Prize is confirmation by the world community of his mission to defend universal human values. On July 6, all followers who recognize the Dalai Lama as their unconditional teacher read prayers for his longevity and well-being. In Russia there are many adherents of a special philosophy. The Let's Save Tibet Foundation, whose activities are aimed at preserving the traditions of Buddhism, which is important for some regions of the Russian Federation where it is the main religion, organizes festive evenings dedicated to this significant date. Usually there are current performances, film premieres, photo exhibitions, and charity concerts. By the way, the teacher himself does not celebrate birthdays, because according to the Dalai Lama, every day is a small holiday that brings with it something new and important. And his wisdom, accumulated over centuries, allows us to consider him not only a spiritual leader for Buddhists, but a significant figure of modern civilization.

Agrafena Bathing suit according to the folk calendar is celebrated on July 6 (June 23 according to the old style). Agrafena holiday is named in honor of the Christian martyr Agrippina of Rome, whose memory the church commemorates on this day. Agrippina lived in Rome in the 3rd century, professed Christianity and chose the path of chastity and celibacy. During the years of persecution of Christians, the girl was forced to renounce Christ, but she firmly believed in God and renounced idolatry. For this she was painfully tortured and beaten, after which she gave her soul to the Lord. The body of the martyr was buried, and subsequently miraculous properties emanated from it. In Rus', Agrippina was nicknamed Agrafena, and she was called the Swimsuit for tradition. Residents went to swim in the pond, and water procedures were also carried out in the bathhouse, using medicinal herbs. The day of Ivan Kupala was just approaching, and the residents believed that during this period all herbs were endowed with special medicinal properties. Usually, nettle, mint, thistle, wormwood, fireweed, fern, lavender, and St. John's wort were used for bathing in the bathhouse. Homes were also decorated with herbs. They drained pleasant aromas and protected from the invasion of evil forces that were actively rampant on Ivan Kupala. Herbs were placed at the threshold and on windowsills to prevent evil spirits from entering the house. Aspen branches were stuck near the gate and at the entrance to the barn so that evil spirits would not frighten the cattle. In the morning of the day, the Agraphens washed themselves with dew to improve health. Housewives went to collect birch branches and wove special brooms from them. Brooms were made for Agrafena Bathing Suit for future use until next summer. Sometimes they were prepared from branches of various trees and bushes: bird cherry, linden, alder, rowan, viburnum, willow. Woven brooms were used for baths, to protect calving cattle, or for fortune telling. In general, the day was a holiday, so residents organized festivities. Together they set the table for the whole village. A mandatory dish was votive porridge; it was cooked from crushed barley and distributed to the poor and travelers. In some regions, young people doused themselves with water and then went to the river to swim. In the evening they lit fires, jumped over them, sang songs and danced in circles. The girls dressed up in their best clothes and went to neighbors’ houses, telling the owners: “Wash them up.” This phrase meant a request to give the girls elegant ribbons, beads or fabric. By nightfall, the girls performed fortune telling. The bravest residents set out at midnight to search for blooming ferns. According to legend, the fern bloomed only on the night of Ivan Kupala. A resident who saw it blooming could subsequently find places where valuable treasures were buried. If the sparkling lightning at sunset was noticed on Agrafena Bathing Suit, then a thunderstorm was expected the next morning. Seeing how the ants were hiding in the house and blocking the holes, the residents were preparing for the imminent rain. The silencing nightingale promised that the time had come to harvest barley.
