Holidays 4 july
The modern calendar is replete with red dates that indicate official holidays, most often state and religious. A lot of social celebrations occur on ordinary days, so people simply have no time to relax. The kaleidoscope of holidays sometimes drags on like a quagmire. The first to draw attention to the need for relaxation in the 1990s was a British company organizing celebrations in the East End. The animators and other employees decided to take the 4th of July off. Since then, the Day of Rest from Holidays has been celebrated annually. A lot depends on the work of professionals who create a festive atmosphere at a birthday party, wedding or wedding. Organizing special events is a troublesome and responsible matter, requiring the investment of a lot of physical and mental strength. It is not surprising that people who work in event agencies sometimes get tired and want to temporarily forget about the clinking of glasses, solemn speeches and fireworks. This is why the Day of Rest from Holidays was invented. According to the plan of the initiators of the celebration, throughout the 4th of July you should turn off your phones and engage in routine activities. Nothing distracts you from thinking about your professional responsibilities like cleaning the house, cooking, reading books and watching TV. In the 2000s, thanks to the World Wide Web, North America learned about the unusual celebration, taking up the initiative of the British. This is how the Day of Rest from Holidays became popular and found supporters in many countries around the world. For residents of England, the calendar includes several dates dedicated to doing nothing. They are necessary so that hard-working British people can relax and unwind under a plausible pretext. For an idle pastime in England, National Day of Doing Nothing was invented, which is celebrated on February 22. A similar holiday, National Day of Nothing, has been celebrated on January 16 since 1973 in the USA, and all over the world on May 2. Therefore, the idea of the employees of an event agency from East London cannot be called unique, but it is certainly useful. A day of rest from the holidays can be spent in peace and quiet in bed or on the sofa. Typically, professionals turn off phones and the Internet for the whole day, and engage in meditation or other practices to restore energy. For one day they stop thinking about creating a sincere and warm atmosphere for customers of celebrations, the program of events and other things. And on July 5, rested and refreshed event agency workers are already starting to do what they love - organizing holidays.
The Invisible Man is the main character of the novel by H.G. Wells. The dream of some science fiction fans is complete incognito - a special state of the body when no one around them sees them. Introverts who have no desire to come into contact with people dream of “hiding” like a snail in a shell. A student who has not learned his lesson wants to become invisible. The dream of not appearing on a hidden camera screen is for an office employee who is late for the start of the work day or often takes a cigarette break. July 4th is Invisibility Day. A funny Invisible Day is intended for those who believe that with the help of modern technology or a magic cloak, others will be able to avoid finding a specific person. Agree, it is very convenient when you are invisible to people around. Is it possible to achieve such a result taking into account the development of modern science and technology? The answer to this question is clear: quite difficult. However, the famous science fiction writer H. Wells is known for the fact that at least 80% of his predictions contained in his works of fiction came true. An Englishman, born in 1866, predicted the advent of the telephone. With the help of this device, according to G. Wells, it will be possible in the future to order food and medicine to home, and to conclude business transactions. Women, in his understanding, will not need to work in the kitchen. “Washing dishes means washing and grinding each item separately, whereas it would be possible to put all dirty dishes in a cleaning solvent and then dry them,” predicted H. Wells. Today's dishwasher meets these criteria. The science fiction writer also voiced prophecies regarding the invention of central heating and air conditioning, the development of the automobile industry, and the ability of mankind to split the atom and create bombs. In the works of H. Wells there is also an invisible man - one of the most striking and memorable characters. The cloak, which makes a person invisible in the eyes of others, as well as the idea itself, were known long before the publication of the works of the English science fiction writer. A cape that turns a person invisible is found in the myths and tales of many peoples: the Dutch epic of the Nibelungen, English folklore about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, in stories about Thumb, Harry Potter, The Twelve Dancing Princesses and "The King of the Golden Mountain" by the Brothers Grimm. Despite the fact that G. Wells relies on the fourth dimension, it is not only magic that helps one become practically invisible to others. Stealth mode can, for example, be set when viewing websites and social network pages of other people. A special strategy of behavior helps to avoid attracting attention - a nondescript personality and an unassuming person in a team rarely attracts the gaze of others. These and other opportunities to become invisible are remembered by those who celebrate the funny Invisible Day on July 4th.
The United States is considered a traditional country, which is why it has so many holidays that have been going on since the founding of the state. One of these most important and ancient holidays is Independence Day, an important moment in the history of America, when it seceded from the British Empire and became a free power. In 1775, the United Colonies of the American Continent began military operations against England, at first they simply wanted to defend their rights, and then completely separate from the empire. On June 7, 1775, at the Continental Congress, Virginia representative Henry Lee introduced a motion to “dissolve all ties” with England. To prepare documents on the secession of America, a commission of five people was formed, headed by Thomas Jefferson. On June 28, the papers were presented to the Confederate Council for consideration. After the adjustment was made, the Declaration of Independence was unanimously signed by all thirteen representatives from each state. The official signing ceremony of the document took place on August 2, 1776, where the document was endorsed by 56 prominent US figures (Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, John Hancock, Charles Thomson, etc.) The holiday is celebrated at the federal level; in fact, it is one of the main holidays in the country. It is considered a day off; almost all state-owned enterprises (private at the discretion of the owners) do not work to give their employees the opportunity to fully enjoy the holiday festivities: take part in a festive procession, watch a concert or go to a barbecue with the whole family. One of the most important events of this celebration is the main Independence Parade in Washington. Everyone goes out to the central streets, which are decorated with national flags, sing their favorite songs, have fun and relax. Many families love to spend this day outdoors, cooking meat over a fire and playing fun games. Americans try to dress and decorate their homes in red, blue and white, the primary colors of the American flag. According to tradition, the holiday ends with a grandiose fireworks display, which paints the night sky in bright colors in different parts of the vast country. Every year the fireworks show becomes more colorful, it is combined with a musical concert, broadcast live on television, but still a huge number of residents come to central cities to see this grandiose performance live. 1. The original document of the Declaration of Independence is stored in the Federal Archives, in a transparent bulletproof glass box and is considered a national treasure. 2. There was a time in US history when the level of security threat was very high (50-60 of the 20th century), then the country's leadership banned any fireworks displays. Today, any American citizen can arrange his own mini-show for only $3-5. However, in some regions fireworks are still prohibited (Nebraska, Colorado). 3. Independence Day only became a national holiday in 1870. 4. At noon on July 4th, at every US military base, one salvo of artillery is fired, which is called the “union salute.” 5. The largest fireworks display in the entire history of Independence occurred in 2009, when 22 tons of pyrotechnics flew into the sky. 6. In a mysterious coincidence, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, both of whom took part in the signing of the Decoration and later became US Presidents at different times, died on the same day, on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Document of Independence, July 4, 1826.
On June 10, 2009, President Viktor Yushchenko signed a decree establishing the professional holiday of Forensic Expert Day. July 4 was chosen as the date for this professional holiday, and since then it has been celebrated every year, regardless of which day the date falls on. This decision was dictated by the fact that the work of a forensic expert is incredibly important, because a lot depends on his decisions: the protection of human rights, freedom and the justice system itself. By forensic examination we mean a set of different actions aimed at research, as well as providing a report for the court, investigator, prosecutor, and interrogator. All this is necessary to discover circumstances and evidence. Forensic experts are professionals with a huge amount of knowledge in the field of medicine, technology, and science. They are involved not only for examinations in criminal cases. Accidents at work, in medicine, and environmental disasters are only a small part of where the help of forensic experts may be required. Forensic medical examination, as a separate procedure, has existed for a long time; previously, coroners who performed autopsies were responsible for it. Its importance was first mentioned in a book of 1235. This work was written by one of the Chinese judges, Song Kee. In “Collected Cases of Injustice, Correction, and Possible Error,” Song Kee notes that during autopsy, certain rules should be followed, and report writing is best done independently rather than relying on assistants. These measures will ensure that the law is followed correctly. This scientific work can be considered the first book devoted to forensic medical examination and the professional activities of experts. To work as a forensic expert in Ukraine, you must pass state certification. Today, the number of specialists in Ukraine is almost 6 thousand people, one third of this number are government experts. On July 4th, they all accept congratulations from colleagues, acquaintances, and relatives. On this day, the state rewards the most honored workers with signs of gratitude and certificates of commendation for many years of work and success at work. The work of forensic experts is hard, responsible work that requires concentration, composure and determination from a specialist. For their work, they all deserve the most sincere congratulations.

On July 4 (June 21 according to the old calendar style), people celebrate Ulyanov Day. So the date was named in honor of St. Julian of Tarsus, whose memory is celebrated according to the church calendar on this date. Julian lived in the 3rd and 4th centuries and came from a noble family in Cilicia (modern Turkey). His mother secretly instilled Christianity in him, and after the death of his father, the family moved to live in Tarsus. When Emperor Diocletian issued a decree on the persecution of Christians, Julian turned 18 years old. Having learned about his faith, the guards seized the young man and locked him in prison for almost a year. He was persuaded to idolatry, but was firmly refused, for which Julian was eventually drowned in the sea. The people called Julian more consonant with Slavic names - Ulyan. A legend about a pair of lovers was dedicated to this day. Ulyan was looking for his Ulyana in the fields, but she was by the pond, admiring the flowering water lilies and did not hear the guy’s call. When the girl remembered Ulyana, she ran to him in the field, but it was too late. Ulyan and Ulyana missed each other and never met again. On Ulyanov Day there was a tradition of collecting linden blossom; residents believed that on this date it had strong healing properties. The inflorescences were collected carefully so as not to break the branches, then dried in a ventilated attic. After drying, they were poured with boiling water and drunk as tea to improve health. Linden infusion was useful for its medicinal properties. It helped with colds, inflammatory processes, gastrointestinal diseases and in the treatment of the genitourinary system. Linden tea was also drunk as a preventive measure against headaches and insomnia. Infusions of linden buds and leaves were no less useful. Linden was popularly associated as a feminine tree; women came to it asking to meet a loving man or help in conceiving a child if they had not been able to get pregnant for a long time. A linden tree planted in the yard protected the owners from the evil eye, and a cross made from a linden branch served as a reliable talisman. However, it was forbidden to break the tree, otherwise you could invite trouble upon yourself. To make a talisman from linden, you had to ask the tree for permission and tell about your goal. And then put your palm on the trunk and feel whether the tree agrees or not. It was also forbidden to cut down linden trees, otherwise there was a risk of getting lost in the forest. But a dried tree in the yard promised bad weather for the owners. If on Ulyanov day they noticed how the wind blows towards the sun and turns back at sunset, then they prepared for clear, fine days. The sky, covered with thick clouds, warned of imminent rain. Increased humidity and heat after the thunderstorm foreshadowed continued precipitation during the night hours.
Orthodox holidays on July 4th:
On July 4, the Orthodox Church celebrates the day of the discovery of the relics of St. Maxim the Greek, which happened in 1996. This is the day of memory of the outstanding religious writer, publicist and translator, who invested a lot of effort in the development of the Orthodox Church in Rus'. The Monk Maxim the Greek is considered the patron saint not only of translators, but also of all scientists and students. The annual honoring of the relics reflects all the love of the church and the Christian people for the martyr, who during his lifetime, for his straightforwardness and love of truth, endured an unfair trial, accusations of heresy, excommunication from the Church, imprisonment and exile, which lasted, according to various sources, from 20 to 30 years . Born in the world, Michael Trivolis was born in 1475 in Albania and received a brilliant, versatile secular education. As a young man, he traveled extensively throughout European countries, studying languages, philosophy and other sciences. Despite the fact that at this time numerous ungodly movements flourished in Europe, the young man remained faithful to Christianity. Great opportunities opened up before the young man: he could easily achieve an enviable position in society, but he chose the path of enlightenment and turned his heart to God. Returning to his homeland and becoming a monk at the Vatopedi monastery, and also receiving the name Maxim the Greek, he began to study ancient church manuscripts and the works of saints with great zeal, which is why he quickly gained fame as a learned man and was soon called to Moscow to translate liturgical books into the Slavic language . The hardships of St. Maxim's earthly existence began when he refused to dissolve the marriage of the Grand Duke of Moscow with his barren wife. For his unacceptable insolence, the saint was shackled and thrown into the dungeon of the Simonov Monastery, and then transported to the Volokamsk prison, where the saint was subjected not only to insults, but also to severe beatings, which brought him, as the chronicles say, to a state of death. Deprived of freedom, the monk meekly accepted his fate and found God’s great mercy - an Angel appeared to him with the words: “Be patient, elder! With these torments you will get rid of eternal torment.” Feeling spiritual enlightenment, the ascetic wrote with charcoal on the wall of his prison a canon to the Holy Spirit, which is still read in the Church to this day. After six years in prison, the martyr Maxim was exiled to Tver under church ban, where he was under the constant supervision of Bishop Akaki. When the ban was lifted, Saint Maxim, already a 70-year-old old man, was sent to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. But, despite the persecution and imprisonment that affected his health, the monk did not lose heart and, with the same zeal, continued to work on translating church books from Greek into Slavic. The holy martyr Maxim the Greek died on January 21 (old style) 1556 and was buried in the Lavra, near the wall of the Church of the Holy Spirit. In 1591, the First All-Russian Patriarch Job examined the relics of Maxim the Greek and ordered a service to be held for the saint who had introduced himself, and soon his first iconographic images appeared. According to chronicle sources, on the day of the glorification of St. Maxim the Greek, several people who venerated the relics of the saint received healing from serious illnesses. And to this day, believers ask for healing and fulfillment of what they want in front of the holy relics of St. Maxim the Greek, which are located in the Refectory Church of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. The Venerable Martyr Maxim the Greek was canonized in 1998 and is revered not only in Russia, but also in Greece, where he was born and wrote his first church works.
