International KVN Day

An unofficial holiday, but celebrated by all fans of the humorous game in Russia and other countries. The Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful is a youth program that has long since left adolescence and has been appearing on television screens for several decades, rightfully considered a real “long-liver” on them. The pilot broadcast of television KVN took place on November 8, 1961, and the holiday was dedicated to this event. For the first time this date was especially noted in 1996, the club organized a gala concert to mark the 35th anniversary of the game. KVN's birthday has become international, as has the game itself. This is explained by the fact that now in many countries near and far abroad local KVN leagues have been formed, the winners of which, over time, enter the capital’s stage. The holiday is celebrated annually. To mark this day, the television club is holding a special event in Moscow, in the new KVN House. For example, Special Project, winners and veterans of past years take part in this game. The best players from different teams make up two teams and fight among themselves. Very often friendship wins in this fight, and the championship ends in a draw. In other cities, local club leagues also hold holiday championships, national concerts, and skit performances. Every year the teams change the theme of the holiday and try to come up with something new for the gala November event. What remains common is the idea of ​​friendship and an optimistic attitude towards life, even towards its most difficult issues. Everyone can consider this holiday their own and cheer up themselves and their loved ones on this day. International KVN Day is celebrated not only by teams, but also by spectators. It is celebrated by everyone who is somehow involved in the club. Players, jury, fans and everyone interested. This date is an occasion to hold a prank, organize a comic tournament, or hold a comedy competition.
