Holidays of Russia - Trade Workers' Day congratulations ->

Without trade it is impossible to imagine life on Earth. This industry is developing and improving from century to century, from year to year. The main task of trade workers is to meet the needs of the population for goods and services. For people serving the population and working in this area, the holiday does not have a specific date; it is celebrated on the 4th Saturday of July. The history of the holiday is as follows: for the first time this day began to be celebrated in 1966, but for some reason, it was still not possible to decide on the date of the celebration. In 1988, it was moved from the fourth Sunday in July to the third Sunday in March. And only in 2013, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7, the holiday finally found its own calendar day, namely, the fourth Saturday of July. Most people, when they mention the phrase “trade worker,” imagine a portly saleswoman behind the counter. However, this area is very vast. In addition to the counter and various retail outlets, workers in this area provide, store and place inventory, study the market situation, conduct research on demand and competitive offers... The work of housing and communal services employees also relates to the field of trade, where services are sold, such as maintenance of elevators, ventilation, communications, repair work and cleaning of premises... Means of providing electricity and water supply, equally with water and electricity, are goods and also belong to sphere of trade. It would seem that working in trade does not require special knowledge, but this is not the case. In order to work in this industry, you must first graduate from either a university or a secondary specialized educational institution, although it is difficult to find certified specialists in the markets. In Russia, this day is celebrated by specialists who ensure the sale of goods and services behind the counter and at cash registers, at food outlets and in retail stores, wherever there is a demand for services in this area. They often celebrate not only with colleagues, but also with relatives and friends in a joint festive feast. As a rule, the top officials of the state make official statements at the holiday. During the celebration, the best employees receive certificates and valuable gifts. And a few - for their great contribution to the development of forms and methods of trade - are awarded the title of Honored Trade Worker of the Russian Federation.
