Folk calendar - Zinovy and Zinovia, Sinichkin's day
Celebrated on 12 NovemberEvery year on November 12, the Orthodox Church celebrates the day of remembrance of such great martyrs as Zinovy and Zinovia.
The saints were brother and sister and lived in a wealthy family, where from birth they were instilled with the love of God. The future weather was determined by the behavior of the birds on this day; if the tits flew in whole flocks, they could expect imminent cold weather. If the birds squealed loudly in the morning, there will be frost at night, if they whistled, it will be a clear and warm day.
