Holidays 5 november
Indestructible, legendary, mighty... The epithets for our army are not loud or pretentious, but accurately reflect the essence. These words fully reveal the character of the Russian person, his will and love of freedom. From time immemorial, our army and navy have been famous for their military traditions. But no traditions are simply born or revived. Now we have about five dozen memorable dates and military holidays adopted to revive Russian military traditions, increase the importance of military service, popularize the army and navy, and recognize the merits of the military. Of course, men have their main holiday - Defender of the Fatherland Day - especially those who served in active service. Each of us has served or is serving in different branches of the military: navy, paratroopers, marines, artillerymen, motorized infantry and engineering troops. For a military man in the past or currently serving, the day on which the holiday of his branch of the military is celebrated is no less important than February 23. Military Intelligence Day. A holiday for our military, whose service is closely connected with military intelligence. It doesn’t matter where you served: in an airborne reconnaissance company or in the GRU special forces, in the navy or in the air force. The holiday was established in 2006 by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. November 5 is not a random date. On this day in 1918, the Registration Directorate became part of the Field Headquarters of the Red Army, which was later transformed into the famous GRU of the General Staff. Knowledge of the enemy's plans, its advantages and new developments in the military sphere have always been extremely important for the existence of the country. Intelligence as a profession dates back more than a dozen centuries, and perhaps several millennia. In Kievan Rus, intelligence is an important state matter. The predecessor of the GRU, the Order of Secret Affairs, was created under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in the 17th century. Under Peter I, the receipt of intelligence data was placed on a state basis. Russia is trying to lift the naval blockade and join the ranks of the strongest countries in the world. The Military Regulations provided a legal basis for intelligence activities. At the beginning of the 19th century, in a difficult geopolitical situation, an Expedition of Secret Affairs was created under the Ministry of War. Soon the name was changed to the Special Chancellery under the Minister of War. The Expedition's tasks included many areas of intelligence activity: intelligence collection in other countries, reconnaissance in border areas, as well as counterintelligence. The modern history of the country's military intelligence begins in difficult conditions of a destroyed economy and civil war. Military intelligence was initially used, in addition to strategic and operational purposes, to obtain military secrets and information about developments in military and related fields. The Great Patriotic War fell upon the shoulders of military intelligence officers as a severe test. During the war, glorious military traditions developed: devotion to the Motherland and people, loyalty to the oath, fortitude, courage and self-sacrifice. About 10 thousand scouts were sent behind enemy lines in the first months of the war. Partisan detachments were created. Intelligence data often played a critical role in senior management's decision-making. The effectiveness of our military intelligence has been demonstrated more than once in hot spots: in the Middle East, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Chechnya and others. About 700 scouts were awarded the gold Hero Star. Intelligence is the most important means of obtaining information, the eyes and ears of the army. It allows you to solve different problems: military-political, military-technical and purely military. It can use space developments and has extensive intelligence among potential adversaries. The number, structure and personalities of the GRU are protected as state secrets. The importance of military intelligence cannot be overestimated. These include successful actions during the war, timely preparation for it, and the possibility of delivering a preemptive strike. Counterintelligence played an important role in the history of the USSR. In the spring of 1943, the famous “Smersh” was created; it was entrusted with the fight against spies, saboteurs, intelligence of opponents and “friends”, the fight against traitors and treason in the army. Despite the ambiguity of historical facts, Smersh did his job, helping the country win the most difficult war. Intelligence allows, if not to prevent a war, then to meet it fully armed, standing firmly on our borders. The exploits of intelligence officers are sometimes unknown and become public decades later. Many remain unknown, dying while performing military duty. Honor and praise to military intelligence officers! Honor and praise to the worthy sons of Russia!
Giant sea waves that hit Sakhalin, the islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the Kuril Islands and Kamchatka are considered one of the most dangerous natural phenomena. Over the last century, 58 tsunamis have occurred in the world, depriving hundreds of thousands of people of shelter and life, and destroying the transport and social infrastructure of populated areas. Educational events, which are held annually on November 5, are designed to reduce the likelihood of consequences from natural disasters. This date falls on World Tsunami Awareness Day. The initiator of the establishment of World Tsunami Awareness Day is the UN. World Day appeared on the calendar in 2015 at the initiative of Japan. This island nation knows firsthand the destructive power of tsunamis and earthquakes. One of the most powerful was the movement of the earth's crust, which was observed off the coast of the island of Honshu in March 2011. The strength of the earthquake reached 9 points, the height of the waves was 40 meters. The government managed to warn the country's citizens about the danger a few minutes before the tsunami began, which saved the lives of millions of Japanese. The date of World Day was not chosen by chance. Japan has accumulated extensive experience in predicting natural disasters, warning people in a timely manner, and eliminating the consequences of tsunamis. One of the first warnings to citizens about the dangers of water disasters in the history of the country was the incident that occurred on November 5, 1854 with the peasant Goro Hamaguchi. He set fire to his crops, thus informing the villagers of the impending disaster. The fire of rice sheaves, which today is associated with the Nankai earthquake, helped fellow villagers of Hamaguchi escape, and November 5 became World Tsunami Awareness Day. Seismologists monitor, study and describe underground points that occur in different regions of the planet due to shifts of tectonic plates, meteorite falls, large-scale landslides or human activities (oil production on the sea shelf, etc.) The highest waves in history were recorded on July 9 1958 in Alaska. Their speed reached 160 km/h, and their height was 500 m. The largest earthquake in the history of observations of natural phenomena was the 2004 earthquake that occurred in the Indian Ocean. Its epicenter is located off the island of Sumatra. The magnitude of the earthquake was 9.3 points, the height of the waves was 15 meters. According to various estimates, from 227 thousand to 300 thousand people died from the rampant disaster. The observance of World Tsunami Awareness Day is intended to help the population of regions where earthquakes are most common to prepare for natural disasters and learn how to properly respond to emergency alerts. Early warning of danger and timely rescue actions are a guarantee of saving the lives of thousands of people. The first step in this direction was the adoption in the Japanese city of Kobe of the Hyogo Framework for Action, designed for 2005-2015. Based on this document, the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning System was formed, which operates thanks to the provision of data from marine and seismographic stations located in the region. Humanity will encounter large-scale disturbances in water columns, leading to a series of gravitational waves, more than once. The development of science and the invention of technical devices made it possible to predict earthquakes and the emergence of an early warning system for the arrival of a tsunami. World Tsunami Awareness Day is intended to reduce the danger that threatens people due to the rampant disaster and save human lives.
Some compare this large-scale, majestic structure with the symbol of the country. It was on November 5, 1967 that the act was signed that put such a large-scale structure into operation. True, at that time the construction was not yet completely finished, but most of it was completed, which made it possible to begin the full broadcast of video programs and radio programs.
Each photograph is a life frozen for a second, an imprint of the past, without which the present would not exist. Matte and glossy photographs from a family album are imbued with the spirit of warm sadness and nostalgia. They make you nostalgic for a time when the trees were big and grandparents were alive...
International Volunteer Managers Day
On this day, people honor the memory of the Apostle James the Younger, brother of Jesus Christ. The folk celebration also has other names: Jacob the Righteous and Guzhniki. It was on November 5 that people performed all kinds of rituals to get a good harvest for the next year.
The more developed a country is, the more developed the society in this country is - the more valued is the life and comfort of every member of this society, every person. It is important not to forget that we, humans, are one of the highest stages of development of living beings, and all because we have developed speech - the ability to negotiate, discuss problems and make decisions together. This skill of ours is regulated in the state by a special apparatus - the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. We are talking about municipal social structures in the state. Thus, in Ukraine there are several institutions where every citizen of the country can learn about their rights, receive financial assistance or advice. This can be done in the Pension Fund, Social Security Fund, and so on. In addition, every educational institution has a social worker who provides patronage to the families of school or kindergarten students, controls the development conditions of each child - monitors the healthy social atmosphere within the educational community and in the family. People of this profession also have their own professional holiday - it is celebrated on the first Sunday of November. On this day, workers in this sphere of human life organize seminars, conferences, corporate events, and so on. If you think about it, working with people is a rather difficult task, because it is important to always maintain composure and take into account the different nuances of each everyday situation. The scope of work in this profession is people who have their own important, unresolved issues. It is important to find the correct answer to these questions, without aggression; it often requires the ability to avoid conflicts and always politeness and tolerance. If a social worker loses his temper and is rude to another person, it can hardly be said that he has coped with his task. So, in Ukraine, Social Worker Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of November. On this day, do not forget to remember all the people who helped you receive a subsidy or pension, took care of your labor protection, or did other things that were useful to you. Don’t forget to thank these people - after all, simple human gratitude is often the key to another person’s good mood and harmonious state of mind. And also, when contacting a social structure, always remember that all people value attention, politeness and kind attitude towards each other.
