Holidays 22 june
Both in the media and in everyday life, the period from May 9, 1945 until the collapse of the USSR in the 90s of the last century was most often called the post-war period. And every resident of the USSR at that time, even a preschooler, knew that on a tragic day for our country - June 22, 1941 - at four o'clock in the morning, Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union without declaring war. Now, as opinion polls show, few young people remember why in 1992 this particular day was declared the Day of Remembrance of Defenders of the Fatherland, and in 1996, by presidential decree, it became the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. Almost every family of the older and middle generations of today's Russians, as well as the families of the peoples of the former republics of the USSR, the Great Patriotic War brought its share of grief, deprivation and loss. Some of their relatives never returned from the war, some of their loved ones went missing, some returned, but as disabled... Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers contributed to the approach and achievement of Victory. Some fought on the fronts, others carried out partisan activities, others, even children, worked 12-16 hours a day in the rear, firing cartridges and shells. Women sewed uniforms and donated warm clothes to front-line soldiers, plowed the land, and donated not only strength and health to the front, but also funds accumulated by many years of hard work. Scientists and engineers developed designs for tanks, guns, airplanes and other equipment needed by the front, and women, old people and children, sometimes spending the night in workshops, assembled them in factories. On this day, they remember and mourn the soldiers killed in battle, the victims tortured in concentration camps, and ordinary people who died of hunger and deprivation. On June 22, on the territory of Russia they are greeted with a minute of silence and the ringing of bells, state flags are lowered, the front-line soldiers and civilians who died in this monstrous war are remembered, entertainment events and programs are canceled, and films about war and heroism are broadcast instead. Schools and other educational institutions hold classes and lessons dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, and students prepare reports on a military theme. There are exhibitions and conferences covering this topic and enlightening young people who have begun to forget their own history. On June 22, ordinary people, participants in the Great Patriotic War, contemporaries and descendants of people who survived the war or died in it, bring flowers to monuments and memorials, light candles in memory of those who suffered and died in the war. And in the capital, on Vorobyovy Gory, young people, together with the few surviving veterans, tie bells to tree branches, the mournful ringing of which does not allow us to forget about the cost of our people’s victory in this war. Funeral services are held in all Russian churches.
The jungle covers 6% of the planet's surface, being home to 50% of flora and fauna. Unique tropical forests, like other types of similar ecosystems, are called the lungs of the Earth. Every year, 78 hectares of green spaces are destroyed, which leads to the loss of plant biodiversity, climate change, and the extinction of animals living in this area.
June 22 was the day of the Skipper Snake among the ancient Slavs. According to legends, the snake king Skipper, having given a potion to drink and hiding the newborn Perun, took his three sisters to Nav. Perun was freed by other deities, and later he defeated Skipper in battle. Sometimes this day is called the Snake Festival. The Slavs believed that Skipper, who hates the entire human race, returns to Yav twice a year with his snake army. It was believed that ghosts roamed the Slavic land at this time. To see them is to receive a sign of illness, pestilence, death. The earth groans and cries, its groans can be easily heard by putting your ear to it. Some claimed that they saw fields engulfed in flames, packs of wolves suddenly running from dark forests, crows circling over the village, and hundreds of mice crawling into houses. On this day, there is a high probability of enemies coming to the Russian Land. This fact is proven by historical facts: many wars began on days close to this date, and decisive battles ended not in favor of the Russian people. Skipper Snake Day is traditionally considered the beginning of snake weddings. Snakes crawl to special cursed places, the so-called “snake hills”. To meet them is to be in trouble. Not a single sorcerer will be able to charm the bite and save a person on this day. Therefore, the Slavs were wary of visiting forests. If it was absolutely necessary to do this, then they took a piece of ash with them, believing that it would scare away snakes. The snake occupied a special place in Slavic mythology: it was respected, but feared because of its treachery and inconstancy. A coiled snake meant eternity. The ancient Slavs revered the Snake Couple; on this day they left purchases for her at the snake hills, asking the Snake King for strength and dexterity, and the Snake Queen for health and good luck. One had to be careful with curses: bad wishes could come true. On this day, the Magi sang songs to the glory of Perun. Ordinary people performed ablutions in the river to cleanse themselves of sins. It was customary to make amulets and amulets to protect against snake bites. Some performed rituals for good luck, prowess and beauty. However, one had to be very careful when offering services to snakes: one extra word or movement could lead to many troubles. The eldest member of the family could perform a ritual against cancer for all relatives, which was valid for exactly 12 years. It was customary to plant legumes on Skipper Snake.
It is not for nothing that the media, which participate in the formation of public opinion, is called the fourth estate. The Minister of Propaganda of the Third Reich, Joseph Goebbels, declared: “Give me the media, and I will turn any nation into a herd of pigs.” The Nazi politician was well aware that the same information about any event, presented in different ways, evokes diametrically opposed reactions in people - from joy and delight to irritation and indignation. Modern media use both the 25th frame effect and neurolinguistic programming to influence the human subconscious. According to experts, the greatest response from newspaper readers, radio listeners and television viewers is caused by materials about natural disasters, major accidents, wars, deaths and other tragedies. Many media agencies focus on covering negative news for the sake of high ratings that drive advertising revenue. Objectivity and impartiality, the ethical principles of journalistic ethics of the 20th century, have ceased to be relevant in the 21st. Violation of the industry “code of honor” leads to the fact that the media, which often cover events in a negative way, cease to be a source of truthful information. Negative news background has a negative impact on people's mental well-being, causing anxiety, chronic stress and depression. This trend is countered by a holiday that calls on the media to present inspiring, uplifting and uplifting information. Positive Media Day is celebrated annually on June 22. The stream of aggression and hatred that pours from television screens, newspaper reports about violent deaths and other horrors instill fear and anxiety in people about the future. Thanks to the media, which spreads panic and terror, the future of the world seems depressing and bleak, which is fundamentally wrong. Positive Media Day calls on media holdings, social networks and Internet portals to pay attention to news that pleases, inspires and inspires people at least one day a year. The founders of the holiday are convinced that reports covering good events and programs telling about the noble deeds of people will push viewers to show compassion towards loved ones, making them more open and kind. Positively colored and neutral news creates an optimistic outlook for the development of society, helping to leave behind worries and worries about the future of children and grandchildren. Positive Media Day encourages people to begin to take a more conscious approach to the flow of information that flows from the screens of smartphones, computers and televisions. The ability to separate the wheat from the chaff, good from evil, truth from lies will help maintain health and strengthen the nervous system, teach you not to succumb to media provocations, draw your own conclusions and evaluate current events. Positive Media Day calls on journalists to increase the awareness of news consumers, adherence to professional ethics and responsibility for their actions.

Kirillin Day according to the folk calendar is celebrated on June 22 (June 9 according to the old style). The day received its name from the church date of honoring two saints - St. Cyril of Alexandria and St. Cyril of Beloezersk. Cyril of Alexandria lived in Egypt in the 3rd and 4th centuries, was educated, but from his youth he sought to know the truth of God, so he settled in a monastic village near the Nitrian Mountains. After 6 years he was appointed priest, and after the death of the Patriarch of Alexandria Theophilos took over his post. The saint cared for Christians; during the years of ruling the Church, he managed to expel pagans and Jews from Alexandria. Kirill Beloezersky lived in the 14th-15th centuries in Rus'. He was born in Moscow into a righteous family with the name Cosma, and when he was orphaned, he lived with rich relatives. He abandoned secular life and took monastic vows at the Simonov Monastery under the name Kirill, where years later he was appointed abbot. Wanting privacy, he went to live near White Lake. Monks came to him, so the saint organized the construction of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. The abbot received the gift of miracles from the Lord, helping those in need of food and protection. On Kirillin, the date of the summer solstice came, when the daylight hours were the longest in the year, and the night was the shortest. They believed that on the summer solstice the sun sent hot rays to the earth for plant growth, so to prevent it from burning the crops in the fields, peasants performed special rituals to appease the sun. People believed that on this day the maximum flowering in nature occurred and summer time began. The period of planting garden crops was coming to an end, but by planting seedlings on Kirillin's day, residents could get a good harvest by autumn. It was also time to mow and prepare hay for the winter. On Kirillin's day, residents went to the forest to pick strawberries. According to legend, it began to bear fruit only after the kiss of Jesus Christ. The plant was especially valued among the people because it had good healing properties for various diseases. Doctors used its leaves, roots and berries, and ordinary housewives made jam, compotes and tea from it. On this date, mothers performed rituals to improve the health of their children. They were symbolically brought to the stove so that the fire would drive away the child of illness. After reading the necessary spells, the children were dipped into the river, turning the back of their heads against the flow. And in the morning the children were allowed to run among the tall grasses so that the dew would cleanse them and give them good health. If on Kirillin's day they observed a spider making a wide web, then they prepared for clear days. The low flight of swallows was noticed as a sign of imminent rain. Also, the rains were foreshadowed by screaming crows. From this day on, the extermination of one mosquito meant the extermination of a whole dozen of them.
Holidays of Zoroastrianism - Vayu
Orthodox holidays June 22:
The Orthodox Church honors the Memorial Day of Cyril of Alexandria and Cyril of Beloezersk on June 22. The Holy Fathers were real personalities, the first of whom lived in Byzantium in the 4th century, and the second in the Principality of Moscow in the 14th century. But, despite the millennium separating them, the saints are united by the highest spirituality and humble service to the Lord. The noble origin of Cyril of Alexandria provided him with an excellent education. His outstanding mind and love for the Holy Scriptures brought the saint to the Patriarchal throne of Alexandria. For 32 years, the patriarch strengthened the faith of his flock, increasing Christian love in their hearts. It fell to him to protect the purity of faith from the heretical teachings of Novatus and Nestorius. Cyril of Alexandria was an outstanding educator of his time, leaving behind numerous theological works. Kirill Beloezersky also came from a noble family. Having lost his parents early, he was raised in the house of his uncle, where he was noticed by the Monk Stefan of Meshchersky. The monk discerned the young man’s purpose and advised him to be sent to a monastery. So Kirill first became a monk of the Moscow Simonov Monastery, and then its abbot. But the saint felt that his destiny had not yet been fulfilled. He fervently prayed to the image of the Mother of God, asking and waiting for instructions, until one day he heard the advice of the Mother of God to go to Beloozero. Following the order, the abbot and the monk Ferapont who accompanied him went to the indicated place, where they began to live in dugouts, spending all their time in fasting and prayer. Soon other monks joined them. Through joint efforts, after 7 years, a temple was erected in honor of the Dormition of the Mother of God, and a monastery was founded with a special, strict charter. Before his death, the saint received from the Lord the gift of clairvoyance and was known as a miracle worker. Kirill's Day has acquired many folk traditions, because it is not for nothing that it falls on the day of the summer solstice. This is the period of the sunniest days and the shortest nights, when summer finally comes into its own. It's time to make supplies for the winter, pick strawberries and other berries, and dry the grass for hay. Church ministers advised parishioners to care not only about their daily bread, but also about spirituality, not forgetting to be merciful to those in need. Interesting customs dedicated to St. Kirill's Day have developed in the city of Velsk, Arkhangelsk Region, since 1999. Here, the patron saint and wonderworker Kirill Velsky enjoys special veneration. In his memory, a whole week-long festival is organized annually with a traditional fair, festive concerts, folk art exhibitions and master classes.
