Holidays 15 june
Not every natural phenomenon can boast of its own holiday, but the wind has one. In 2007, World Wind Day was celebrated for the first time in Europe at the initiative of the European Wind Energy Association and the World Wind Energy Council. And two years later it began to be celebrated almost all over the world. The purpose of the celebration is to attract the attention of specialists to the use of wind power as an energy resource. The wind can be light and cool, or it can be scorching, threatening and destroying everything in its path, unpredictable - and “harnessed” to the sails. They began to tame it quite a long time ago, and not only at sea, but also on land. Let us remember the same windmills, common in Europe, especially in Spain. Airborne energy has already been successfully used in a number of countries. The leading countries in the use of wind power plants (WPPs) are Spain, Germany, the USA and China. In addition to them, about 80 more countries use this natural source of energy, since wind turbines are environmentally friendly. The main goal of the festive event is to try to solve environmental, energy and economic problems without wasting non-renewable sources of life support. The resources of our planet are not endless and, perhaps, someday this alternative source of energy will become the main one. How is wind day celebrated around the world? People interested in the above problems are introduced to wind energy. They are shown in practice how the power of wind is used, for which people are invited to such popular events as excursions to wind stations. In the field of theory - and to increase interest in this alternative energy source - lectures and seminars are held, experts and lecturers are invited. Russia, unfortunately, is not one of the countries that actively and officially support this unusual holiday. In the meantime, everyone who wants to somehow join this world celebration releases kites and colorful balloons into the sky, entrusting them to this mysterious and unpredictable element, with the hope of someday learning how to control it not only at sailing regattas.
Many books have been written, songs composed and jokes composed about love and relationships between men and women. But representatives of both sexes have something to talk about, besides the wonderful moments of life together. The list of claims that women make against their faithful ones has remained unchanged for decades. The top 5 main shortcomings for men include sloppiness, bad habits, selfishness, greed and irresponsibility. The reluctance of women to put up with this state of affairs led to the appearance of a special date on the calendar. June 15 is the Day of Male Imperfections. In addition to the most common behavioral defects and character traits, women are irritated by greed, pathological jealousy and immaturity in partners. The last drawback is manifested in excessive passion for online games. The fathers of the family, despite their advanced age compared to their own children, sit for hours at the computer, taking part in tank and other battles. This, of course, is not comparable to the harmful hobby of alcohol or smoking, but it brings no less discomfort to life together. On the one hand, wives do not have to win their spouses away from the garage company, protest against going to a football match, or suspect their husband, who has gone fishing, of cheating. On the other hand, picking up a man who can’t stand on his feet from a bachelor party and dragging him home on your fragile shoulders is easier than forcing him to return from the virtual world to the real one. Therefore, many women declare war on the “tanks” and in their own way they are right. A significant drawback of the strong half of humanity is the tendency to hypochondria. A man with a headache or cold is sick and demands such attention as if he were dying. The moans, complaints and whining of the husband because of sinusitis can infuriate any woman who is accustomed to standing at the stove and washing the floors, even with worsened radiculitis. The beautiful half of humanity is irritated by men's passion for recklessness - every second driver feels like a participant in Formula 1 racing. Dissatisfaction is also caused by absent-mindedness and arrogance, absolute helplessness in everyday life, and the presence of hobbies, the increase of which eats up an impressive part of the family budget. Despite all of the above, in honor of the holiday it is not customary to focus on male shortcomings. On the contrary, women, first of all, talk about the virtues of their beloved ones, because princes, like purple unicorns, exist only in fairy tales. Only real furies saw the second half day and night, with redoubled force - June 15th. Every person has positive and negative character traits. Therefore, in couples where respect and harmony reign, partners most often turn a blind eye to each other’s minor imperfections for the sake of love and mutual understanding.
The Soviet Union, having ceased to exist in the last century, in the new millennium left its descendants with a youth social movement that fosters love and interest in nature. We are talking about young naturalists, or in short, young naturalists. On June 15, the Youths celebrate the Day of the Creation of the Younats movement in Russia, which was able to outlive the pioneers who were a thing of the past and adapt to new realities.
In 2011, the UN General Assembly signed an important resolution for today's and future generations. Resolution 66/127 established World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Since 2012, this day has been celebrated every year on June 15th. This is a chance to remind the whole world that it is the elderly people in society who are most socially unprotected, therefore, every day various kinds of abuse are committed against them, both in the family and in it. UN data indicate that today there is a problem of negative attitudes and mistreatment of older people. About every sixth pensioner suffers from this. At the same time, according to statistics, the number of elderly people in the world is constantly increasing every year, for example, by 2050 there will be about 2 billion elderly people in the world. This means that over time the problem will not only not disappear, but will become more global, which means we need to start fighting this injustice now. Today, cruelty, negative and neglectful treatment of older people is considered a real social problem, and this applies even to developed countries. Based on the results of social surveys conducted in a number of countries, it has been proven that abuse in the home environment, inadequate care, physical, psychological and financial violence are most often tolerated against older people. In addition, a negative attitude is recorded on the part of social, medical and other government agencies. Both older men and women are victims of abuse. Problems of various kinds occur in all countries, regardless of mentality and level of development. As a result of social surveys conducted in a number of countries at different times, it was revealed that the following were subjected to abuse:• Canada - 55% lack of attention and care from loved ones, 15% physical violence, 12% financial abuse;• USA - 36% physical violence, 81% psychological violence; • India – 4% physical violence, 20% neglect and neglect from relatives; • Argentina – 45% psychological violence and abuse; • Brazil – 35% abuse. Until recently, all these people were needed by family, society and the state, but over the years the attitude towards them has changed and now they feel abandoned and unnecessary. The global holiday will allow everyone to be reminded of the social injustice that happens every day and to do everything to reduce it in the future.
The Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Armenia became an official holiday based on the law of June 15, 2006. The flag itself as a state symbol of independence was adopted during the period when Armenia gained sovereignty from the USSR in 1990, when it, as an independent state, needed its own special symbols. The appearance is an unchanged version of 1918, when Armenia gained independence for the first time, albeit for a very short period before joining the USSR. It was then that this type of flag was invented. The flag of Armenia at first glance is ordinary - 3 equal horizontal stripes of common colors for this type of regalia: red, blue and orange. But the meaning behind the symbolism of color is now very deep, and in some places tragic. Red is the color of the blood that the Armenian people shed defending their land and faith. In the 14th century, the Armenian state, at that time called Cilician, lost its independence, falling into the hands of Muslim invaders. For centuries, Armenia defended not only its territory, but also the Christian faith, having lost a lot in population. And this is not counting the Armenian genocide, a global and carefully planned destruction at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in modern history. The prototype of the modern tricolor is precisely the flag of the Kingdom of Cilicia, founded in 1080 by Prince Ruben, only instead of an orange stripe there was a yellow one. The outstanding Armenian scientist S. Malkhasyants, a member of the Council of Armenia, who took an active part in the selection of state symbols for the young republic in 1918, insisted on the replacement. Orange symbolizes the hard work, will, and talent of the people. Blue represents nature, the sky of Armenia, under which the people have earned the right to live peacefully and build a prosperous future without bloody wars. June 15 is an ordinary working day, but its significance in the formation of Armenia as an independent state is great. Everyone can get acquainted with the history of the country and the modification of state regalia over the centuries in one of the oldest museums. After all, for all Armenians, state symbols are not just attributes. They reflect the development, appearance of the country, the people, and the preservation of national values. The government annually funds a special program to install a sufficient number of flags, for Yerevan - larger, more visible versions. According to tradition, on this day in the evening there are processions with tricolors through the streets of the capital, solemn and bright, to the sounds of another important symbol - the anthem. Many students and activists wear T-shirts in the colors of the flag. A festive concert is taking place in the central square of the Republic.
A public holiday established in 1997 in honor of one of the main events of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan. On June 15, 1993, the people of the republic were saved from civil war by the coming to power of Heydar Aliyev. As time has shown, his activities really benefited the country. Now all directions and initiatives are actively supported and developed by his successor. Azerbaijan, like some countries of the USSR, especially with oil potential, after gaining independence, found themselves involved in the problem of redistribution of power. On May 14, 1992, the Popular Front took the helm. Complete destabilization, chaos - this is how we can characterize that period. Social tension grew, the army was falling apart, and disputes with Armenia intensified. A year later, the republic was threatened with civil war. A person who combines not only love and respect of the people, but also has real management experience and a strong politician could find a way out of this situation. This was Heydar Aliyev, because it was he who headed the republic that was part of the USSR. But his disagreements with M. Gorbachev led to his removal from leadership; he was actually exiled to Nachikhevan, his place of birth, by 1990. On June 9, 1993, he arrived in the capital of Azerbaijan, where people greeted him with flowers at the plane's ramp. On June 15, Aliyev was elected chairman of the Council of the Republic. In the fall, he took the presidential oath. He competently led the country out of the economic, political and military crisis. Thus, Azerbaijan had a chance to become a state with the achievements that are being demonstrated now. The date acquired the status of a state holiday in 1998 - this allows, regardless of the day of the week, to organize especially solemn events and celebrations. The official part includes laying a wreath at the monument to Heydar Aliyev, a minute of silence, and a hymn in his honor. Conferences are being held emphasizing the importance of not only gaining, but also maintaining independence, which would be impossible without the activities of a national leader. All kinds of concerts and performances demonstrate the rich culture of folk and modern art. Residents and guests of the country have a special reason to look forward to the holiday - the opening of the beach season. The Caspian coastline near Baku is especially beautiful. Another social aspect, designed to emphasize the leniency of the authorities, which resonates with society is the traditional amnesty of convicted prisoners. The country's leadership does not forget about people from Azerbaijan. In 2016, the opening of the “Caucasian Club” in Israel was timed to coincide with this date.
Holidays in Kyrgyzstan - Firefighter Day
According to the folk calendar, Green Loach is celebrated on June 15 (June 2, old style). Other names for the holiday are Vyunets, Green Christmastide and Nikifor-Duboder. He was named Nikephoros on behalf of Saint Nikephoros of Constantinople, revered by the Orthodox Church on this day. The story of Nikephoros began in the 8th century in Constantinople. Having received an excellent education, he served as an adviser to the king, but the service weighed heavily on him. Nikifor went to a secluded place, prayed a lot, kept a fast, and years later built a monastery and temple there. The saint became famous for his defense of icons during the period of the iconoclastic heresy. Nikifor was popularly nicknamed the "Oak Tree" for the tradition of stripping the bark from an oak tree on this day. It was used for medicinal purposes because the bark had anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and astringent properties. It was collected from trees aged 10 to 15 years, since young oaks could die from stripping the bark, and old ones had ineffective properties. Peasants celebrated Green Loach as a holiday. In the morning, young people dressed up and walked around the village to congratulate the newlyweds who got married in the coming year. They entered each hut, and if there were no young spouses in it, then the owners had to pay off those who came with chicken eggs, or kiss someone from the crowd three times on the cheek. When a hut with newly-made spouses came across, the crowd began to sing songs, dance and give the spouses flower bouquets with woven bindweed. The couple poured intoxicating drinks for those who came, and gave the children sweets and small change. Housing on Vyuna Zeleny was decorated with fresh birch branches. For lunch, housewives baked round bread - a loaf - a symbol of fertility and wealth. In the evening, residents set a common table and held folk festivities. Men and boys staged competitions, showing their strength. On this day, girls wove wreaths from vines, believing that future spouses would curl around them, and family life would be prosperous. Often a wreath was floated onto the river; if it floated away in a whirlwind, then the girl was expected to get married soon to an accommodating husband. The slowly floating wreath promised a long-term marriage with a lazy spouse. If the wreath immediately went to the bottom, then matchmakers were not expected until next spring. In some regions, girls danced in circles and invited young men to join them. After the round dance, the girl threw a wicker wreath on the young man’s head. It was believed that such a ritual would speed up the appearance of matchmakers from him. Wreaths made from loaches were kept in the closet until winter. Noticing the calm weather on the Green Loach holiday, residents expected fine weather for the next week. The setting sun in the clouds meant a change in the weather for the worse. An increase in wind was observed leading up to the thunderstorm. The song of a nightingale in the middle of the night foreshadowed clear days.
Orthodox holidays June 15:
The feast day of St. Nikephoros, Patriarch of Constantinople, falls on June 15. The saint was born in Byzantium in the 8th century to a pious couple. By their own example, the parents instilled in their son a love of the Christian faith and Holy Scripture. Father Nicephorus suffered from the oppression of the iconoclasts, defending the purity of Orthodoxy until his death. The mother of the future confessor, having shared all the hardships of life with her husband, took monastic vows within the monastery walls after his death. In addition to his calling to serve the Lord, Nikifor had an excellent secular education. His extensive knowledge allowed the saint to earn the position of royal adviser. In this capacity, the saint appears at the Church Council, condemning the iconoclastic heresy on behalf of the emperor. Despite success and recognition, court life weighed heavily on Nicephorus. He leaves high-ranking service, finds solitude on the coast of the Bosphorus, supervises the construction of a monastery, where he later ascends to the patriarchal throne. Meanwhile, the throne of Byzantium was occupied by a new emperor, who was an ardent supporter of iconoclasm. He gradually spreads heretical teaching, returning exiled clergy excommunicated by the previous Council. Nicephorus fought as best he could against the threat looming over Orthodoxy. He explained to ordinary people the fallacy of heretical teachings, wrote messages to the emperor and high dignitaries, and predicted the imminent death of unrighteous fighters with holy icons. But the new government condemned the brave actions of the patriarch, after which he was expelled from the empire. After 13 years of wandering, Nikifor meets death far from his native lands. In folk tradition, the day of the confessor Nicephorus is intertwined with the more ancient pre-Christian holiday of Vyunets. In the evening, the peasants gathered together, sang songs and brought vine flowers to the newlywed couples. Girls, decorated with flower wreaths, danced in circles, young people competed with each other in daring. An indispensable treat was baked butter rolls, a symbol of sunshine and prosperity. In addition, among the peasants Nikifor was nicknamed the Oak-Boarder, because it was time to stock up on oak bark for tanning leather. And on June 15, they made sure to notice natural phenomena, trying to predict future weather from them: - a foggy sunrise foreshadowed a warm, favorable day; - the wind blowing from the west spoke about the approaching colder weather; - the noise of fighting sparrows indicated the establishment of good summer weather for the next few days; - the prolonged rains were not a reason for despondency, because they predicted a bountiful harvest of flax and hemp.
